Hey Josh.
I know this sounds gay and newbielike. Trust me when I say Im not. Just want to get your outlook on your handicapping of NFL versus college. Are you better at one or the other?
I for one am much better handicapping the NFL because I cap more by reading lines, moves and trap shit based on previous weeks performance. I rarely break down games traditionally and have never been under 50% in NFL for 7 years.
Anyway, what about your type of capping I guess is what IM asking. College is tougher for me because of the size of the lines and radical line moves that happen. Thanks...
I am good at any type of football, its the only sport I know...I would say I do a little better in the NFL, but I always kill it during bowls season....I'm more of a contrarian type capper, but I'm not shy to side with the public, I mix it up....I'll find the plays using some of the same ways you mention, big anti public plays, home dogs.....My plays always start anti-public, then I'll try and find reasons to get off that play, if I find anuff reason I lay off, if I find so many reasons to stay away, I'll end up sideing with the public.
preseason is a diffrent beast all together though, I just know depth charts and coachs tendencys from year to year, and I usally do pretty well in preseason.
College and Nfl I usally start out slow, and pick it up around weeks 3-4 when the linesmakers start to tighten up their lines.
Main things I look for is public perception of certain teams, becuase perception is bigger than reality, and certain spots (are they home?, who do they play next week?, is it a sandwich game?, will they be looking past this team?, homecoming games, rivalry games.)
College is all about spots, and finding good spots.
nfl is more about perception, and the publics false perceptions.
I also like to look at defensive run stats in the nfl.
