On your Scottish pick I lean towards the under 3.5 - also based solely on stats. Funny how 2 people can interpret the same stats in different ways. Anyway, I'm not going to bet it, but I like the look of the Mexican pick. Do you know if any of the teams are missing important defenders? Any other team news?

Fortaleza vs Goias - Brazil - Forta with 6 of last 8 home games played over goals and Goias with 6 of last 8 away games played over goals. Forta falling apart now allowing 4, 4, 1, 4 in last 4 home matches while Goias have scored a league-high 35 goals in their last 16 matches. Draw really does not suit either team as Goias are midtable either needing to gain significant points for Libertadores play or continue gaining to assure a Sudamerica spot. Forta in big trouble with relegation and just these last three home matches remaining. Their road games will be extremely difficult so max points at home are a must. Flamengo vs Atletico PR - Brazil Saturday - two teams playing pretty well at the moment, each with 19 points out of their last 10 league games. Fla especially in-form at home defeating Timao, Flu, Cruzeiro, and Botafogo here in the last eight weeks. Atletico with 3 straight wins and unbeaten in 5 but just 0-1-4 when visiting the Maracana to face Flamengo and with some interesting obstacles to overcome here. They traveled to Rio by bus, more than a 12 hour trip, and have played a very heavy list of games lately. They've been giving up goals in bunches, especially away from home. Since the WC break they have allowed at least 2 goals in all 11 road games which should suit Fla well as they have scored in 11 straight matches played in Rio. Atletico are expected to field a mixed team because some players are very tired with this marathon of matches that has seen them play at least every 4th day since August 20.
