SJ Earthquakes are under in 13 of 18 games this year and their last 5, also haven't won in their last 8. They do have some new signings that should add some offense, but under in their games is something to consider.

Also, I think this is your first season in the soccer forum on a regular basis. Much less bickering and flaming in here and a lot of good cappers with good information and picks. Virtually none as long as Jambolaya stays the f*k out of here.

Been betting for several years. Not as much active in this room but several posters I respect highly are here so I thought I would try adding a little. Did a few soccer bet experiments years back and ended up in the plus.

I was more a football/basketball guy but when I moved to Vegas my local bar was English and by the time I was many beers in on the weekends after a swing shift the games would be starting up in the morning. Picked up a lot talking to the local English and tourist and sparked my interest in the game. Lots of the cooks and kitchen help around town are Mexican and I found by saying a few words about "futbol" gets you a new friend and maybe even a few extra fries, lol, wherever you are.

Just a little background on how and why I caught the soccer bug.

Back to the regular scheduled topic.

Once you get into the game you realize how great it is.

I would like to see a list of all of the transfers in and out for the major leagues. Can't find anything that is done by team, only by date, which is worthless. Anyone has it, please post.

<HR style="COLOR: #fdde82" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->I just wanted to summarize one of my systems. I'm going to call it my "Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde" system where a team starts out the season one way and changes whether it is starting out well and later doing poorly or the other way around. I feel the linesmakers look too much at the position of a team in the table. When a team changes those positions in the table can be misleading. I believe my picks are 11-1 for this system.

Here are teams that have started out poorly and have started to do well:
Qviding
Hameenlina
Helsingborg
Athlone
Galway

Here are a couple teams that have started out doing well only to falter later on:
Oulu
Shelbourne

This post is a convenient place for me and others to reference when these teams play in the future.

A couple of websites that I find useful for handicapping soccer and general information as well:

www.soccerway.com (covers just about everything for scores and stats)
www.fifa.com
www.sportspress.com (good database of many leagues)
www.footiemap.com (interesting site of location of teams around the world)

Many others that are more league specific but those are some worth looking at. Feel free to add if you have some as well.
