It's just a way for you to look at it. Think about this , routine ground ball and the batter doesn't hussle down the line, because it's a out, do you get mad at that batter/hitter? I guess you never seen Miguel Cabrera- Detroit Tigers run down to first base when he hits into a routine out. I guess one of the best hitters ever is a lollygagging fag?
I've thought about this. Yes, Miguel Cabrera is a lazy fuck. He is 30 lbs overweight -- EASY! Colon is probably 60 lbs overweight. But that laziness and ridiculous fat does not impede their performance. They have to perform a function and they can do it b/c they have the raw talent that allows them to do it.
It's not b/c they're hardworking, industrious, fully committed... on the contrary, a lot of these top guys are just lazy fucks. Look at Nick Kyrgios in tennis. Guy is lazy as fuck. But at 6'5" and with tons of natural talent.... he could practice half the year and still have a career on the circuit.
I have wondered culturally what it was like 50 years ago in baseball.... now every baseball player just walks to first and doesn't even try. The only guy in current times that did a "Pete Rose" effort to first base was that midget for the Angels/Cardinals....
... but somewhere in the 80s and 90s black culture and effort took over sports. And NBA players could care less if they won or lost on any given night.
