I figured I may as well just have one thread versus plastering the board with countless posts.

Posted record:

49-61, +2.615, ROI: +3.1%

4/2: Championship:

0.5 Watford +280
0.5 Middles/Peterb Over 2.5 -125

I can't pass up Watford at this price, even on the road. This is a huge match and a Hull victory places them in exceelent position for second and promotion, without having to endure the playoff. It's going to be more difficult than that IMO, I look for Watford to cut Hull's lead to one point with six to play and Watford having a huge goal differential advantage to boot.

4/2: Champions League:

0.5 Barca -110
0.5 PSG/Barca Under 2.5 +110

Line has been dropping drastically on Barca, saw plenty of -140/-150 yesterday, some +100/-105 avaialble now. Best I could grab was -110, I'm going to go the other way of the move. Lots of love for the over, but I expect Barca to score early and lock it down trying to get home with a win and clean sheet.

Was very fortunate yesterday to hit a few late goals turning losses to wins, opposite of my last stage of European WC Qualifying. What goes around comes around....

Champions League 4/10:

0.5 Juventus +190

I like Juve to win this match and think they have a better than expected chance to advance. I thought I saw around +810 to advance and thought about a sprinkle, but will likely pass. It's going to be extremely difficult to keep BM off the board and Juventus lack of an away goal may be their downfall.

I'll try and get some thoughts on these matches today. I'm also looking at Chelsea/Tottenham on Sunday, but it looks like the line has been taken off the board.

I'm an idiot. Didn't realize the FA semis were this weekend, hence the Chelsea-Tottenham game not on the board. It would probably be better if I simply forgot the FA Cup existed because I have been dreadful in that competition this year.

Pretty crappy weekend....on to the next

62-76, +4.820, ROI: +4.7%

Championship 4/16:

0.5 Barnsley +160
0.5 Nottingham Forest +160
0.5 Brighton +140
0.5 Peterb/Brighton Over 2.5 -120
0.5 Wolves +240

I'm going back to the well with two bottom table sides on consecutive home matches coming off bad, bad losses. Throwing good money after bad possibly....we will see. I'm also backing two sides I like who are in the playoff push in Nottingham Forest, off a tough match at Cardiff, and Brighton facing an in form Peterborough side away from home.

Nothing on the huge EPL match tomorrow, just hoping Everton can get it done, which is unlikely as they always seem to have a murderous time with Arsenal, something like 2-5-15 in the last 22 meeting being outscored by nearly 1.5 goals per match.

The late Derby goal turned a winner into a loser, so goes the grind...

EPL 4/17:

0.5 MCity -1.5, -2 -105
0.5 MCity -2, -2.5 +142
0.5 MCity/Wigan Over 3, 3.5 +115
0.5 Fulham +0.5, +1 -114

I like City to roll Wigan tomorrow to the tune of 4-1 or 4-0 and the upcoming FA Cup final will have zero impact on this match IMO. Taking a shot with Fulham, who the hell knows what your going to get from Chelsea, I figure best case scenario I grab a draw and hit both ends or Fulham loses by one and I drop half my wager.

Continued success.

Gonna try this one last time as my lil guy just erased the last two...obviously hoping your spot on w/your score predictions...but if I may add another vantage point...city fielding a lesser line up than the previous two matches....(utd./chelsea)they do play in three weeks in the cup final, does that add to a boring match as if to show each other all the gimmicks? And Wigan playing for their relegation lives, where City are fairly comfortable w/remaining schedule to keep 2nd or at worse a champions league spot none the less...ps,City have Spurs away this coming Sunday...again, rooting for you but just some things to think about if you don't already know....cheers

CTLS,

Thank you for stopping by and providing your thoughts. I admit I have some concerns as you mention above. I'm not too worried about the FA Cup final as I have always believed the more dominant side should not fear tipping their hat or showing their hand to the inferior side in situations like this. IMO, that is playing scared and is sign of weakness amongst leadership. I could see the strategy if the two teams were evenly matched and had a Cup final looming in a few weeks.

I'm not too concerned with the lesser lineup either, as I assumed City would still have Toure and Kompany in the mix, which it appears they do. I'm comfortable with them mixing and matching up front, at least in this spot at home versus an inferior opponent.

I am very concerned that this match is off the heels of a few huge matches for City, regardless of lineup, I fear a possible lacking or uninspired side. I am also very concerned facing off against any team in the relegation battle, especially a side which has shown some life.

For the most part, Wigan have been manhandled by the top tier and/or "name" opponents this season, so I'm hoping for more of the same today.

GL with your action.

You nailed it, I totally misread this match. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it sounded like Wigan carried the play for a bit. In other news Chelsea shows up away from home when I go against after letting me down when I play them...that's why they call it gambling.

Ever since I gave up gambling on my squad I haven't misread one of their outings...amazing when I stepped back from backing them with money I realized how obvious they are in their approach to certain matches and teams....cheers

4/19 Ligue One:

0.5 Montpellier +140

Lyon scratched their way within striking distance of PSG and then the floor fell out. They are not in top form, especially away from home. I'll back the home side at this price and look for Lyon's fall to continue.
