Grudgingly anyone looking at the stats has to realize Bonds pounded out the greatest consecutive 4 year stats of all time.
But as an offensive player his overall stats for a career still fall below those of Williams, Ruth & Gehrig. The eye opener
is staggering, Bonds from the age of 36 till the end of his career Slugging Average was .731, 100 pts. higher than the 2nd
highest in the twilight years Williams & 200 points higher than #3 Aaron. Still the greatest 4 years of anyone but in my eyes
he gets an asterisk along side.
