I imagine the Directv folks are getting a lot of calls cancelling this $ 15/month service. It will be nice next year to have all the EPL games on the NBC Universal cable channels for free. I will miss a few UEFA Champion's league games, but overall Fox Soccer Plus was a rip-off.

What's the deal? Will the channel still exist or it will just not EPL anymore but will show other leagues?

It will still exist and show some events, but the EPL will be missing. They do carry a lot of Rugby and they will still have the UEFA Champion's league (But only 1 game per day is broadcast on Fox Soccer Plus and the rest are available otherwise). Between NBC, ESPN and BEIN Sports I won't need to spend the $ 180 annually for Fox Soccer Plus

What about fox soccer...? CL and other leagues still goin to be on?....I agree tremendous ripoff if you don't have time Warner since its part of the sport package....i guess a choice needs to be made now, hmm

nbc taking over EPL is fantastic (except for listening to jamie carragher of course)...you'll have live access to all 380 matches with the vast majority being on tv (nbcsports, nbc, universal, telemundo 2, cnbc, and usa network) with the rest online in hd for free. they'll also have hundreds of hours of shows...both previews for coming weeks, reviews of past week, and studio stuff

fox has CL rights for 2 more years but have disbanded fox soccer channel as of mid-summer. fsc will start calling themselves something different later this year...like FXX i think...which will be a kids entertainment channel (like a teen version of the FX Network). Fox will broadcast CL matches on a new channel called Fox Sports One which will debut in aug when FSC goes away. FS1 will do CL, UFC, nascar, college hoops and foots, sat mlb, and mlb playoffs

only soccer on FS1 other than CL is TBD...but home USMNT games, US Broad games, Concacaf CL, Concacaf WQ qualifiers are all signed. I don't think there's a league left of interest unless Bundesliga is up for grabs with golTV's demise?

I have Arsenal and Balotelli ranked a little higher, and Toronto FC in the Top Ten, but otherwise it looks about right.

had a great laugh at that. several things glaring obviously, none more then the omission of Juve. good thing this poll is kept under wraps

Only issue i had with the polls is that I had Messi instead of Thibault Courtois for the simple reason that i have no fn idea who Thibault Courtois is and I've heard of a guy named Messi :)

clearly Torres and his 8 EPL goals deserves to be the #1 player in the world...duh! FU Cristiano Ronaldo!

guessing Gus Johnson is part of the 14 AP voters...

Why you say that about Gus?....surely most play by play announcers have to ask their color guy, the impossible question all out of the loop football fans need to know, "what are tired legs?"....embarrassing ...honestly forgot who he did I believ th FA final? Or one of the regular FOX broadcasts....but the color guy must have been scared shitless the first time and I'm sure times after whenever Gus would go nuts on a close shot....I remember Gus getting nuts on the cusp of a corner kick and I immediately reached for the mute button....not a fan of his doing American sports....but the footy job was just too much for me

Ian Wright did the FA Cup with him. Ian was the jackass giggling and clapping in the background as Gus was screaming about the goal.

hard to believe Gus is doing the CL match tomorrow. he doesn't know that Hazard is Belgian (he called him French), Scholes is English (he called him Scottish), or Giggs is Welsh (he said he was English) but he can call the biggest match in the world?

thankfully NBC takes over the weekly matches and will only leave Gus to scream about champions league games...i believe he's with Warren Barton tomorrow

FOX Sports’ play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson will again call the action, along with FOX Soccer analyst and former England international Warren Barton. Additionally, FOX Soccer’s Rob Stone will host the on-site pregame coverage, as well as halftime and post-game coverage, with FOX Soccer analysts and former USMNT players Eric Wynalda and Brian McBride. During his playing days, Wynalda became the first American-born player to compete and receive honors for a top-level German club in the Bundesliga, so he may have particular insight on this matchup. The 2013 UEFA Champions League Final broadcast team will also be joined by U.S. international and Tottenham goalkeeper Brad Friedel.
FOX Soccer will also have coverage, beginning with a one-hour pre-game show at 1pm ET, just before the FOX broadcast coverage. FOX Soccer coverage will include news, analysis and an exclusive interview with German legend Jurgen Klinsmann, former Bayern Munich manager and current head coach of the United States Men’s National Team.
The 2013 UEFA Champions League Final post-game show on FOX Soccer airs immediately following FOX’s coverage of the match (approximately 5pm ET)
