Math is not a strongpoint for the idiots who believe everything they see on TV. When that mortality rate proved to be better than most in the world, they switched to the critical rise in cases. Of course cases go up when testing goes up. In addition, many indicate the number of cases is actually much, much higher than reported. The media won't close that logic loop by reporting that means mortality is actually much, much lower than reported.

It's worse than the flu and we over-reacted. Both can be true. Once we knew the European mortality demographics, we should have shut down nursing homes and protected other vulnerable people. (90% of those deaths were people over 70 with, at least, three underlying conditions). Instead, our nanny state and fear mongering MSM pushed the shutdown agenda trying to protect 350 million people.
Take a look at mortality in the seven states that didn't shutdown at all. Yes, they have cases and deaths, but in terms of mortality per 100,000, Iowa has the highest rate which is 25th in the country. Three of the other seven are in the bottom ten (best rate). We over-reacted and the MSM wants to ensure we stay scared. Thanks for contributing to that narrative.

Dozens of hospitals in California, Texas and Florida are at capacity, and some have begun sending away patients they deem least likely to survive. Morgues in Mississippi and Texas are filling up, and hospitals around the country have rented refrigerated trucks to store the bodies. Referring to these states, White House Coronavirus Task Force Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx commented, “What we have right now are essentially three New Yorks.”
