Let's hope they agree on a reasonable 2 year deal and Petty is good to go after that.

Considering what others who one can argue are not as good as he or at the same level have got, he is correct in wanting a better deal. Anything under $10M per is an insult based on the market conditions. This is his last chance to get a big deal so why not do so.

We do not have enough of a sample to say for a fact that is true. Brock needs at least 2 or 3 full seasons to see what he truly is like running a team.

But, if you're R. Fitzpatrick and you're sitting there with the year you just had, why would you think you shouldn't be able to get as much as Assweiler?
