Would you consider this a hobby? I mean, come one. Here we are, grown men, and hang out on a message forum on the internet.

I know FOR A FACT I spend to much time on this board, not so much posting, but reading.

I get a lot of shit from friends/family when I speak of the RX. I use all the handles, FISH, PPeter, WOOF daddy, jman, sportsSavant, dante, etc......they look at me like im nuts!

i've come to the conclusion, i dont give a shit what people think. there's priceless inforamtion shared on the forum, and i will be reading as long as im capable.

have a good night, and lets go UCLA!

i dominated in kickball. i used to make the pitcher give it a slight bounce rather than a straight roll. catch it as its coming down from the bounce and BAM! i used to go to right-center all the time. i'd kick a homerun about every other time.

ahhh, those were the days.

Those 'kickball' gym balls...they were like no other ball...where did they get these balls? You never saw the gym equipment anywhere besides in Gym class.....that ball made a weird noise too when it bounced, this was back in the 70's though.

they were red and made by "voit". we used them for:

kickball
dodgeball
four-square

i can still hear that sound...the classic echoing "boing".

Same here. the dark red ball...had that really loud boing with the echoing.

We also had a yellow ball that was a dud ball, didn't bounce well, and wouldn't have travelled very far in kickball.

Did you have that giant white ball that was as tall as the kids, I still don't know what that thing was for?

yeah...we used to push that thing around a soccer field trying to get it into a huge goal. one time, it was coming it me pretty hard on a bounce and i tried to smack it the other direction with my right arm and really hurt my shoulder. i pitched for three years in high school and played qb in rec league football for years. in 1997 during a rec league football game, a threw a long pass and felt my shoulder pop. went into the doc and had a partial tear in the rotator cuff. got a cortizone shot and had weeks of rehab. he said it wasnt the long pass...it was years of wear and tear.

it has never been the same. i still feel a twinge when i lift weights. i really think taking the swipe at that huge white ball in 1982 was the beginning of my shoulder problems. damn thing.
