Thanks for the kind words and insightful questions.
My biggest fear in life is being without family or friends. I also fear being in bad health or in a lifestyle where I do not have or allow ample time to exercise.
I am not entirely satisfied in my daily life because my health is not where I would like it to be, I suffer from many of the same character defects that I did last year, and my personal relationships are unsatisfactory. The most important change that I could make is to clarify to myself what my long and short term goals are, then to take steps each day towards the accomplishment of those goals. This is a very Tony Robbins approach, though I do not own any of his tapes. It is things like reading the paper, eating 3 square meals, working out, writing some emails to friends/family, etc.. that I would like to do consistently. There are never any excuses, but that is where I am at.
The most satisfaction comes from exercising and learning something new every day. I am primarily talking about learning concrete, tangible things..not learning "the meaning of life." I really enjoy cycling and consider myself an enthusiast of both mountain/road cycling. A day that I don't lose my temper is also a great day.
