Married 15 years. Better now then ever. Never once got on my case about gambling the whole time I've known her. She will always ask me who I've got and sit and watch the game with me. She's great in the sack, great with the kid, and works her ass off earning a nice paycheck. What can I say, I am goddamn lucky to have found her. Life is funny. Sometimes people that are unhappy together stay with each other because they are afraid. A divorce is one of the most stress generating experiences you can go through. You have to ditch your life plan and reconstruct from basically zero. That's why rebounding is an easy way to pick up chicks for some guys, they just offer a plan and a solution, a temporary patch.

Have you ever seen a couple that was miserable together and split up only to get back with each other because they found out they were even more miserable alone?

but, to answer your question about what is so bad about her since she will do anything for me; well, as I mentioned before, no love involved from my side. My situation is very strange, I married her only because 1:she kep bugging me too!

(Poor excuse I know, but I was young and marriage was just a word to me) 2: I was "satisfied" with her, as in attraction, etc., and wasn't really looking for anyone else and I still remember the day I thought to myself "Well, Im not really looking for anyone else, so I may as well do the right thing"....another....

, but, that was youth again speaking. There's more, into the reasons I havent left, but thats another story.

Just out of curiosity:

What are your plans for the future? Stay married and miserable until you find someone else? Get counseling? Have a heart to heart with her and be honest about your true feelings? Are you/have you cheated on her? Does she think everything is peachy in your marriage? I'm not trying to give you a hard time; just trying to understand why some guys do the things they do. I know that I would be so hurt if, all of a sudden, one day, my husband just out of the blue told me that he didn't love me and never actually did love me.

As Journeyman said, the grass is NOT always greener. Everyone has problems; and if you leave your wife and find someone else, you will soon find that there are things about her that bug you too.

That's just my 2 cents. I know you were not expecting a woman to butt into this thread, but I hope you are thinking about your wife's feelings too and not just your own. It's not fair to her to keep living a lie.
