i will use a 6 game chase. if the team does not cover in that span it will be considered a loss. each chase start will be one unit. following a loss the units will double the bet before. when teams play each other there will be a play on each for the appropriate unit of each teams chase.

yanni, where are you tracking the lost units when boston is on a 4 game ATS skid? you have 12 chase wins for 12 units, but 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = 15 loss units on the Celtics, & 4 loss units on the lakers & the hawks, so you are actually down 7 units right now?

thats not how a chase works my friend. i have explained how to bet it earlier in the post. it doesnt count as a loss until the chase is over.

BOS got us off the hook last night, but it could be tough going with ATL and HOU banged up and books setting huge spreads for LAL due to the high point differential.

ATL has a nice chance to get us off the hook playing the lowly Wizards, gonna be tough though. dont put too much stock in HOU tonight.

as i said, dont put too much stock in HOU. but they have been good to us since the chase started and they will rebound when healthy. ATL has put the chase in a bad spot. Hopefully books give us a juicy line at home vs CHAR tomorrow.

LAL could cover tonight. Depends what team shows up and how much PHO wants to prove that they can still contend. BOS is going to have their hands full, but has a shot even with the big number vs a good team.

now that ATL has lost a chase i am going to take them out. they are not the same team w/o one player, that wont work for this system. teams have to overcome injury. if you look at BOS, LAL, and HOU, they all fare well when a key player is out.

Sorry guys. Yanni, appreciate your writeups but can you explain the current chase record 21-1. I am trying to follow but how come other "LOSS" do not add up to the current chase Loss column. Ex. SAT:

if you dont understand a chase system you shouldnt play it b/c it can lose you a lot of money.
basically all you do for NBA is pick a team that you think will finish above 55% or so ats, 60% is what you shoot for.
then just play the spread on that night. if it loses you double what you bet the first game. i chose a 6 game chase, so your betting would go like this
1. 1 unit
2. 2 units
3. 4 units
4. 8 units
5. 16 units
6. 32 units

or what i did was:
1. 1 unit
2. 2 units
3. 3 units
4. 4 units
5. 5 units
6. 6 units

i chose this way b/c i am not playing with a big bankroll. the downside of this is by the 6th game you are betting 6 units to win 1 unit, loss hurts a lot more than gain.

the teams i chose to track were BOS, LAL, HOU, and ATL b/c i thought that they would finish well ats. i stopped ATL with their chase loss

I've been using the ATS system for NBA and NFL for a week now. The worst I have done is 60%. On the NFL this week, I posted 12-3-1. It's a damn good system and it truly works. I made a few tweaks here and there to consider home, away, fave and dogs but it's still the ATS system.
