yeah but the majority of D1 players arent taking what they wouldve taken if they were paying ..

so the scholorship aint all that its cracked up to be

typically players are herded into programs that wont conflict with practice etc

many kids that have an interest in finance etc but because of the schedule
it would take to go that route they are routed into communications etc to switch major

a player wanting to switch a major after the first or second year will be discouraged
with the increased workload so they just stick with what dosnt get in the way

I am not familiar with all the rules these day.......I like the idea of athletes getting something
I dont see how you can fairly disburse the money and pay athletes though.....dont most sports lose money?

well in likeness / branding etc mostly and thatds only the players that can pull that off

but acros the board they arnt

IF they are not good enough to draw some kind likeness/branding deal then are they even adding value ABOVE and BEYOND the scholarship?

Perhaps my answer should be this

They are already paid, its called a scholarship.
IF they are not good enough to draw some kind likeness/branding deal then are they even adding value ABOVE and BEYOND the scholarship?

and what im saying the scholorship is usually in something they
would not take if it wernt for having to be available for the field

so the scholorship while valid in the real world is pretty hollow for many
