Should Bills go for Christian McCaffery?

I think it's likely McCaffery goes on the trade market with situation in Carolina.

Bills could use a little more play-making in the backfield outside of Josh Allen.

It sounds like the idea of McCaffery to Bills being floated around a bit. Should Buffalo pursue it? That could make their offense pretty insanely dynamic, though he has been a little fragile in recent years

Rams are the ones that need him

He'd be a great slot receiver for Buffalo though if not in the backfield on plays, kind of like what Brady had in NE

He could be like a modern day Thurman Thomas for them.

Being a dolphins fan and a CMC fantasy owner, my answer is no :)

?

Going from the worst offense to the best in the league would be a big boon for his fantasy value, particularly the sustainability of it

He isn't gonna be able to survive on getting tons of touches a game on a terrible team much longer

Doubt a deal happens though

I'm not sure about that (not saying you are wrong). With Allen, Diggs, and Davis, is there enough room for CMC from a fantasy perspective?

I'm also the same grumpy guy who refused to have Thurman Thomas on his team 30 years ago

His volume would go down but his efficiency would go up and his chance of injury probably goes down not having to run around, through, passed 5 guys every play....He would be like Ekeler, less volume/more efficiency

Better than staying on the Panthers and having to labor for them to run 60 plays every week

Who knows if they're gonna give him full workload in the money weeks when they are 5-8 and looking to deal him in the offseason anyway

He wouldn't necessarily be better for Bills than Panthers on a per game basis, but less fragile/more upside I think. He just has to grind so hard to get there now.

I'm not sure if Rams would be good spot for him. They actually are fine in the backfield

Rams really need offensive line help, plus a perimeter threat. Allen Robinson is not good lol

Could they even pay both Allen and CMC next year?

Allen's cap hit goes from 16 to 39

CMC 8 to 20

59 million cap hit between them both in 2023. 35 million higher than this year

Then again, maybe the Bills are only thinking about 2022
