a little "Education" ... Gameface is 100% correct

This Wahhabism form of Islam will be the downfall of this country ... the enemy is upon us internally .. Ya think those 1200+ Mosques are dedicated to the cause of spreading Christianity ???

We HAVE A REAL PROBLEM ... and its only gonna get worse unless action is taken internally .. the Islamic faith movement in this country is just like termites ... time to get out the poison and kill the movement before it destroys the house

We absolutely, without question, can not tolerate these muslim scum. We must close our borders - please leave though, if you want. As far as the muslim enemy within - treat the community like we treat fallujah. Take off your diaper Mr. and Mrs. Muslim and CONTRIBUTE, for once, to society otherwise STFU and get the FO.

I said it at the beginning of this string and I'll say it again - "If they (Islamic Mosques et al) advocate the violent overthrow of the government, or if they support people who advocate the violent overthrow of the government, then they should be arrested and charged, and then let the courts and the media handle it."
The problem with this is that it ain't PC to arrest muslim clerics.

xpanda - I hate to sound like a nationalist, but I really don't care about Chavez or any other South American dictator - or any other non-alligned country. Charles DeGaul voiced my opinion back in the 50's when hr stated "There are no national alliances, only national self interests!" - I didn't like the bastard, but I sure did admire him - He was the only 20th or 21st century Frenchy with real balls!

I happen to agree with this statement. As do your laws. Inciting violence isn't legal.

The problem we're seeing in this thread and others is voices calling for the closure of ALL Mosques. What's next, making Islam fully illegal? This is a dangerous game to play, and unless you plan to kick every Muslim out of the country at the same time that you close their Mosques down, you're de facto creating a 1.5 million person anti-American movement right in your own country.

If that isn't near-sighted stupidity, then I don't know what is.

X,

The majority of these mosques (islamic military outpost) promote the murder of the infidels, which is the rest of us that are not muslims. run the numbers 1.5 million today and 10 million down the road. it would be a good idea to tackle the looming threat now. what ever we do needs to be done sooner rather than later.

these people are promoting the destruction of america under our noses and you believe we should allow it. do i understand you correctly?

x - there are always extremists - on both sides of the spectrum. Right now the extreme left, being led by the aclu is doing everything in their power to protect the Muslim zealots.

If there is a public backlash, I think you'll be able to point the finger at the people who've allowed this to go on beyond acceptable limits. If there's an incident that has any kind of detailed invelvement by American Muslim Clerics, then I think we'll see a repeat of the Dutch reaction.

I hope not!

Creating. Yeh, It's America's fault - we CREATED these anti-Americans. Get real. It's time to pick a team you anti-Americans leeching off America. The election of Goerge W. Bush to his second term was only pre-game warmups. He's still assembling the starting line-up and he better soon drop the puck and deal with the parasites that we have let into the country. It's Thanksgiving time and if a Muslim isn't eating Turkey Thursday they should be arrested and brought in for questioning. Says so in the Patriot Act. I read it.

You people are right royally fücked. Even if your arguments weren't morally repugnant, and they are, there is no logical basis for your solutions.

Okay, so step #1 is closing down all the Mosques in the US. What next? You would have no choice but to make Islam illegal (or they'll just meet behind closed doors and REALLY plot against you) and then begin to arrest anyone who even mentions Allah's name. Next, because you have 1.5 million Muslims in the US (nice try, JP, but you know damn well what I meant by 'creating' them) you're going to have, oh let's guess, 10% of them behind bars within the year. That's 150,000 more prisoners than you already have. (Let's remember that the US is #1 in the world for per-capita incarceration.) Or, you'll have to ship them all out which will be a drain on the INS and local law enforcement and cost how many millions of dollars?

In the meantime, you've mainstreamed mass hatred of an entire class of people while causing this class of people to feel oppressed. For a close-up of what happens to people when they feel oppressed I would invite you to have a wee review of any one of the following moments in history: the American civil rights movement, the French Revolution, South African apartheid, the surge of the Evangelical movement, the current uprisings in Iraq and Ukraine, as examples. People don't tend to sit idly by while their people are being persecuted.

Everything you say now about Muslims (and you paint them all with the same brush because, as Game basically says, it's better to be safe than sorry) will become true. They will backlash -- as would you, as are the Evangelicals, as are the Sunnis and Shias in Iraq -- because they will ALL now, officially, hate you. You will drive the average Muslim (and if the ones I know are indeed average, these are peacable people) into the arms of the extremists.

After all is said and done you will imprison these people for the crime of being Muslim. If this strikes you as being perfectly okay, then you have just reduced yourself to the ranks of McCarthy's Pool Boy. Enjoy your hate-filled lives.

X,

These islamic military outposts are illegal military installation in America. Islam is closer to a political movement than a religion, Hitler returns in a head scarf. The good thing about this is we can watch the hitlers in Euro as they sweep to conquer basically without a fight. The French will be conquered no doubt. Watch and see the demands they make in Europe once they have enough troops in place. Canada will fall within 20 years. America needs to beef up the borders and closed down these islamic outpost, if they are allowed to reopen they must become a peaceful group, maybe they should begin the day with the pledge of alligance and the nation anthem. We should enforce our immigration laws at once. These are laws on the books this is nothing I'm creating. Illegal immigration is just that, plotting the death of the infidels is illegal it's a matter of enforcing the laws on the books. I'm certain they have no right to build military outpost in America, seems that would be illegal also.

By 'islamic outpost' you mean 'Mosque', yes? You aren't talking about an actual military base being set up in the middle of Boston or Houston and headed up by the Wahhabis and Salafis are you? You're talking about places of worship, yes? Just making sure.

Now, in order to reopen they 'must become a peaceful group.' Could you outline for me in some measure of detail what exactly the criterion would be to pass this standard? If it is simply singing the anthem and repeating the pledge of allegiance, you do understand that not only are you trumpeting blind patriotism and nationalism, but that you are lowering the bar to something a monkey could do. I'm Canadian and I know every word of your national anthem. You might be wise to note that means absolutely nothing.

Oh, and never mind the fact that you have shifted the burden from the state needing to prove guilt to the prosecuted needing to prove innocence. Flipping your so-called 'freedom and liberty' right on its head, dontchathink?

We should enforce our immigration laws at once. These are laws on the books this is nothing I'm creating. Rounding up illegal immigrants is not the same thing as closing down all the Mosques. Not even close. For one, most of your illegals are Christian Mexicans. For another, what if most of the Wahhabis you're so paranoid about aren't illegal immigrants?

You still have not addressed the issue of the inevitable backlash. What do you think will happen within the Muslim community if you close all the Mosques? Tell me how your scenario differs from the one I outlined earlier.

While you're at it, tell me what this will do to your Freedom of Religion guarantee. Or are you hopeful that the US will emerge from all of this as an official Christian Nation?

Hmm....

Inevitable backlash or inevitable throat-slash??? I'll take my chances with the backlash. It's tough to breathe without my throat intact.

Pakistan bans Newsweek magazine

Van Gogh had made a controversial film critical of Islamic culture

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><!-- E IIMA -->The latest issue of US news magazine Newsweek has been banned in Pakistan for publishing material that "desecrates the Koran".

A district magistrate in the capital, Islamabad, ordered all copies of the 22 November issue to be destroyed.

The issue contains an article about murdered Dutch film-maker Theo Van Gogh and pictures of a woman with Koranic verses inscribed on her body.

Islamic parties said the article showed Western bias against Muslims.

Controversial film

Magistrate Tariq Mahmood Pirzada said the article, Clash of Civilisations, "contained some objectionable remarks which are tantamount to desecration of the Koran".

Authorities said they were considering legal action against the publication, although they gave no further details.

The ban may have little effect on sales - the 22 November issue has already been superseded by the 29 November edition.

An Islamabad vendor told Associated Press Television News the 22 November issue had sold 50% more than other editions of the magazine.

The Dawn newspaper said the article was a "naked attack on Muslims' faith. It hurts the feelings of over a billion inhabitants of this Earth".

Van Gogh, 47, had made a controversial film critical of Islamic culture.

Intended to illustrate domestic violence in Muslim societies, it featured images of Koranic verses daubed on semi-naked women.

He was shot and stabbed to death in Amsterdam on 2 November. Several men, all believed to be Islamic radicals, have been arrested in connection with his death. The alleged killer is Mohammed Bouyeri, a 26-year-old Dutch-Moroccan. Mosques in several Dutch cities have been the targets of vandalism and failed arson attempts since the killing.

"Such a peaceful group, they mean no harm if you submit."

Same comment could be made about us invading and occupying Iraq.

Damn this Woman was bright, and sadly very prescient. In perusing past threads over the years, I've noticed her destroying Casper and his ilk who have his same insane train of thought often. Hope she's doing well, wherever she is.
