Sheffield United News:
Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock will rest Michael Brown for Tuesday night's home clash with Crewe. The 26-year-old has been playing with a foot injury sustained at the beginning of October against Sunderland, but is expected to return for the visit of Burnley on Saturday. Striker Paul Peschisolido (groin) is doubtful after missing the draw at Stoke, as is Nick Montgomery, who sustained a dead leg on Saturday.
Crewe Alexandria News:
Crewe manager Dario Gradi is expected to stick with a winning line-up for his side's tricky trip to Sheffield United. Skipper Dave Brammer has flu but would not have been involved as he continues to struggle with a niggling groin problem. Chris McCready will return to action for the reserves in midweek. Adie Moses remains on the sidelines with a hamstring problem.
Comments:
Sheffield United was held to 2-2 away against Stoke last match. Jack Lester saved one point for The Blades when he equalize on penalty on injury time in second half. The match was one-way traffic for much of the second half, especially after Stoke were reduced to 10 men shortly after the interval as Wayne Thomas received his marching orders after being shown a second yellow card.
Crewe Alexandria won 1-0 against Reading last match after a goal from Steve Jones after 15 minutes in first half. It was a game with many chances, it was almost incredible that the match ended with only one goal. Crewe has only won one of seven matches away this season. If Dario Gradi’s men should survive this season in Nationwide one, most of the points will be won home at The Alexandria Stadium. Sheffield United has won four out of five latest matches against Crewe at Bramall Lane.
