dog or under usually covers in these sunday primetime games if not both. There were too many mismatches on the floor in this game. SFA would of been abused by Xavier in sweet 16.

But that offensive rebound tap back was a terrible awful call that pretty much decided the game. sfa would of burned another 30 off the clock up 3 or 5 if they scored. Would of had 30 seconds left in the game. So I see why the refs made the call to make the game more even

Agree, not a foul. Just because you are behind the guy, doesn't mean that reaching over him is a foul.

A gift win for ND.

exactly sfa guy jumped with 2 hands and ND guy had 1 hand on the ball. sfa guy got up higher so it looked like he was over him...they were both jumping for it and there was no over the back, pretty bad. I feel bad for these kids that go out on some bullshit like that. There was another one the other day in Little rock/Purdue. A coach should be able to have 1 challenge in the final 90 seconds imo. on foul calls

No he wasn't, nor was he fouled.

He fell because he was falling backwards, on his own, when he shot it. Nobody touched his arm or hand, that was not a foul at all.

If #4 for SFA boxed out or just fights for a rebound, they win. Awful job by that guy, he just stood there and watched the action.

Tough loss for SFA, I hope ND gets drilled next game.

Was it a foul? That depends on how you call or what you decide a foul is. But refs all tournament long, all conf tourney's and season have been calling that body bump with a guy going up a foul. the SFA defender did put his body into Auguste and in todays basketball that has been called a foul. Auguste is not a good free throw shooter so it probably worked out better for ND that it was not called.

That game was not given to anyone. If you want to complain about calls you can go either way with it. At the end of the day the refs let a hand checking team play and the game played like it should have been played, but many times ticky tack fouls are called in a game like that. For instance, that still from coulson late would have been called a foul all season long, I think it was just physical basketball.

SFA's Clide Geffrard jumping vertically for the ball vs Auguste- no excuse for an official to blow a whistle there. Classic example of giiving benefit to a trailing team in order to keep it in contention. Of all the bad phantom foul calls I've seen in the last several NCAA tourneys, this call was probably THE worst. Shame on the CBS analyst too for lamely trying to defend the call.

Oh now thats complete bs. There have been some extremely awful calls and you are just mad you lost a wager, which is reality you had every opportunity to win that wager because you should have got SFA at +1 or better (Yes I know +1 was a push, but there were many +1.5-+2 for a long time). There was an obvious incorrect call earlier on an out of bands strip by SFA on ND player. You watch this next game, OU vs VCU, and you will find 2-3 worse calls than the one you are angry about.

I am trying to figure out if I am being biased while watching games ( i had ND). I thought they let SFA play aggressive on defense and didn't let Notre Dame in the 2nd half. Also I felt every single 50/50 call and out of bounds call went SFA's way in the 2h. I saw only one call favorable to Notre Dame and that was the over the back call at the end. But before that, from my point of view Notre Dame was getting bumped, checked and hacked on every take to the rim and got literally no calls in the 2h. Yet, SFA who is a pressing team who fouls a ton was in the bonus on their end (against a soft ND defense that doesn't foul much at all) and ND was almost never in the bonus. Am i being biased or do you or anybody else see it that way? I am trying to figure out if I am irrationally watching these games or not.

I watched it several times didn't see that or thought it was a foul. I'm sure I'll see that play 46 times later and I'll give it another look.

Foul or no foul, #4 has to compete for that rebound instead of letting the ND guy tip it in.

As much as I would like for games to be called like this game was, todays games are not allowed to be played with that much contact. I think that was better basketball in my opinion.

If anyone wants to really complain about the bad calls, SFA walkup is a walking double dribble technically. He "palms" or "carries" the ball at least once every possession

Agree. Far too many fouls called in the college game. This game was great to watch for the reason you gave, they let them play more than the average college game.

I 100 percent much prefer them to let the kids play as well. I hate it when they start calling the ticky tack stuff. I just want it to be called the same for both sides. In the 2nd half i thought ND was getting the short end from the refs but I might be biased.

That was a great game. Both teams played extremely well.

Ndame got screwed the last 12 min of that game. 3 fouls in 30 seconds and then an obvious block called a charge.
