Have the first monitor connected through the display port to the docking station and it's working fine. The other one i have connected through a VGA cable to the docking station. I've connected the 2 monitors through an hdmi cable but still no display. Under display settings both monitors show as connected. Any techy guys know how to get the 2nd monitor to display?

Tried that and restarting. Think I may need to get an HDMI to display cord. I know both work because 1 is new the other I use with an all in one pc.

You have it set up to Extend?
Go to start menu, search "Projector", select "Connect to a Projector", click Extend.
idk just an idea.

I have a docking station w/ 1 monitor connected to it via VGA and the other connected to it via HDMI.
It works. Sounds like you have the right cords...

About 2 years ago Windows put out an update that broke the Dell docking station I had, meaning dual monitors stopped working and it was a known problem that they didnt fix. Soon thereafter I switched to a MacBook, and I'll never go back. Shit just always works, and no blue screens of death, and no hour long reboots for updates

Congratulations! Two monitors was a game changer. I’m ready for three like the above post.

what causes the blue screens? I have the dual monitors, have for a few years. But since last year when I had a new computer built and purchased two new monitors, I occasionally get the blue screen. I think it happened twice this tax season, so it's very infrequent.

Last time it happened, one of the applications I had open was watching UConn on ESPN live, I'm thinking ESPN may put a tad too much stress on my video card. My machines are built for work, not video gaming, so that's just my theory as of now.
