The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Wednesday's Best NBA Bets

Oklahoma City Thunder at Philadelphia 76ers (-1, 208)

If this was supposed to be a growing-up season for the Thunder, they still have plenty of room left to fill out in their britches. The mark of a true championship-caliber team is its ability to play on the road, and Oklahoma City has failed to live up to those expectations.

The Thunder are a mediocre 5-5 SU and ATS in their past 10 away games. In their most recent game on an opponent’s hardwood, Oklahoma City was handled by Memphis, 107-101. In four of the team’s five losses, it has surrendered 100 or more points.

"We got down 17 because our defensive effort wasn't where it needed to be," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said. "We gave them too many easy layups and points around the paint. We got back into it because we made some shots, but we still weren't playing the defense that it takes to win in this league."

And the balanced 76ers can’t wait to take advantage of those easy baskets. Philadelphia is 8-2 SU and 7-3 ATS in its past 10 games thanks to a diverse attack. Five players average double-figures and seven average above 7.5 points per game. In the team’s most recent win, a 125-117 overtime win against Golden State, the team had seven players in double digits with top scorers Evan Turner (20 points), Thaddeus Young (20 points) and Lou Williams (19 points) each coming off the bench.

Pick: Philadelphia

Detroit Pistons at San Antonio Spurs (-11.5, 203)

The Spurs have the league’s best record by beating nearly all challengers this season. But they haven’t been very successful when they are installed as a large favorite.

San Antonio is a mere 3-7 ATS as a double-digit favorite this season. And it’s not like the team has exactly been playing well, either. The Spurs are 7-3 SU but just 4-6 ATS in their past 10 games overall. Even more telling, the team has been pasted by 16 points twice in its past four games, including its most recent--a 99-83 beatdown from the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Lakers.

“They were more physical then we were and very aggressive,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “I thought that we picked up our physicality and defense in the second half but that was way too late—we were down too far.”

On the other bench, Detroit is coming off a 113-102 win over the Wizards. The Pistons are just 3-7 SU in their past 10 but are a respectable 5-5 ATS over that span. Detroit also may not be good at much this season, but the team has remained competitive by scoring the ball. Over the team’s past 10 games, it has cracked the 100-point mark seven times.

Pick: Detroit

Ice picks

Wednesday's Best NHL Bets

St. Louis Blues at Columbus Blue Jackets (-130, 5.5)

Two words on why you should back the Blues: Jaroslav Halak.

The goalie was activated from injured reserve on Tuesday and is expected to make his return to the ice on Wendesday as he has finished recovering from a hand injury. Halak has a modest 2.63 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage this year, but he is among the best in the league when he is on his game.

However, he has been out since Valentine’s Day.

"In Jaro's situation," Blues coach Davis Payne said, "getting some good performances under his belt, and finishing strong always gives you a foundation for success and it starts back for him tomorrow night."
Payne added that the team does not think conditioning will be an issue and he feels Halak can be the difference as the team scraps for a final playoff spot.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jackets are coming off a 5-4 shootout loss to the Blues on Monday night and have been anything but consistent lately. Columbus has dropped five straight games and yielded 18 goals over that span.

“It was tough, we had a couple chances but we just couldn’t bury them when we could,” forward Rick Nash said. “It is a matter of getting it done in big opportunities and not folding our cards.”

Pick: St. Louis

Calgary Flames at Dallas Stars (-125, 5.5)

The Flames have done so much scoring the past few weeks that opposing goalies are starting to get sunburn on the back of their necks from all the flashing red lights.

Calgary is 4-1 over its past five games and has notched 18 goals over that span. The team has been led offensively by a reborn Jerome Iginla, who is again staking his claim as one of the team’s elite forwards. Iginla, the league’s star of the week, has five goals and three assists during his team’s recent hot streak.

"Through this whole process, we've been getting contributions from everyone and different times different guys have stepped up," said Calgary coach Brent Sutter.

And whether it’s Iginla or a fourth-line winger, no one on the Flames has had trouble scoring against Dallas this season. Calgary is 3-0 this year against the Stars, outscoring them 14-8. In those games, Iginla has just a single goal and two assists.

Imagine what the Flames can do now that he is hot.

"He’s a well-conditioned athlete," Sutter said of Iginla. "He trains extremely hard. He understands the importance of being in top shape. The older you get, you have to work that much harder. He understands that. His shot, his intelligence in the offensive zone, all gets added into to allow him to be that type of goal-scorer.”

Wednesday's Betting Tips: Love's Streak On Hold?

Who's Hot

NHL: The Blackhawks are 8-0 in their last eight overall and the over is 5-0 in their last five overall.

NCAAB: Arizona State is 8-1-1 ATS in its last 10 against Oregon.

NCAAB: Southern Methodist is 10-2 ATS in its last 12 overall.

NBA: The Grizzlies are 5-1 ATS in their last six home games and the over is 4-0 in their last four overall.

NBA: The under is 7-0 in Chicago’s last seven overall and 5-0 in Charlotte’s last five overall.

Who’s Not

NHL: The Blue Jackets are 0-5 in their last five overall.

NCAAB: Oklahoma State is 1-7 ATS in its last eight overall.

NCAAB: Tulane is 2-8 ATS in its last 10 overall.

NBA: The Spurs are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games.

NBA: The Timberwolves are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Key Stat

51 – Consecutive double-doubles for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love after posting 23 points and 17 rebounds in a 108-105 home loss to Dallas on Monday. It ties the mark set by Moses Malone, who had 51 straight in 1978 and 1979. Love’s 51, though, breaks Malone’s single-season streak of 50. The former UCLA Bruin can break the overall record for consecutive double-doubles when Minnesota hosts Indiana on Wednesday.

Love, however, suffered a bruised left knee when he hit the floor while playing the Mavericks. He missed practice on Tuesday to get an MRI, which revealed the bruise but nothing else. Love is listed as day-to-day and is questionable for Wednesday's contest.

Injuries That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

The Anaheim Ducks could be dealing with some serious absences when they host the Rangers on Wednesday. Defenseman Saku Koivu missed Sunday’s 3-0 loss to Vancouver with a sore groin and is questionable for Wednesday. Left wing Jason Blake sustained a laceration on his right hand last week and also sat out against the Canucks. He is listed as doubtful for the contest with New York. Goalie Jonas Hiller, meanwhile, has been sidelined since mid-February due to dizziness and fatigue; there is still no timetable for his return.

Biggest Games On The Slate

Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans Hornets

Chicago Blackhawks at Tampa Bay Lightning (-101, 5.5)

Notable Quotable

“It’s not an ugly situation. I mean, we left on good terms. I’m glad it ended like that, especially after being part of the deal at Indiana. That was tough. But this is different. It’s business…. We've lost seven games in the last minute. I’ve proven I can coach. I run a clean program, I don’t cheat, my players graduate, and we have discipline. So if you don’t want me here, there's going to be someone else that wants me.” – Texas Tech head coach Pat Knight, who will be on the bench for the Big 12 Tournament despite being fired earlier this week. The Red Raiders open on Wednesday against Missouri.

Tips And Notes

Tracy McGrady has not played in five straight games for the Detroit Pistons dating back to the well-publicized practice boycott that led to only six players seeing the court in a February 25 loss to Philadelphia. “It's out of my control, man,” McGrady told the Detroit Free Press. “I can't do anything. When the coach says he puts the guys out there he wants to play, I don't really like it. But it is what it is. I can't do anything about it but come in here and practice and wait until I get my number called. It's frustrating. It's really frustrating.” The Pistons have won two of five since the incident as they head into a Wednesday night game against another team trying to stage a bounce-back of its own. San Antonio has not played since getting blown out 99-83 at home by the Lakers on Sunday. McGrady is officially listed as questionable (coach's decision).

Neither the Thrashers nor the Hurricanes have been scoring much of late; the under is 5-1 in Atlanta's last six overall and 5-1 in Carolina's last six home games. The Thrashers have gone 10 straight games without scoring more than three goals in regulation and they put up a breadstick in four of those 10 contests. Nothing indicates a goal-scoring surge is in store for Wednesday. The under is 5-2 in the last seven meetings between the two teams, including in a 3-2 Carolina road win on February 13. Furthermore, Atlanta defenseman Dustin Byfuglien (second on the team in goals, assists, and points) left practice early on Monday with an undisclosed injury and is not making the trip to Raleigh. This will be Byfuglien's first missed game of the season.

Jeff Benton Wednesday's Action

40 Dime college basketball seleation on St. John’s laying the points vs. Rutgers in the quarterfinals of the Big East tourenament. As of 2 a.m. Eastern time, the Red Storm are a 9 ½-point favorite across the board both here in Vegas and offshore.

15 Dime college basketball selection on East Carolina plus the points vs. Central Florida in the opening round of the Conference USA tournament. As of 2 a.m. Eastern time, the Pirates are a four-point undhrdog across the board both here in Vegas and offshore.

ANALYSIS

I know Rutgers had a great showing yesterday in rallying for a six-point overtime upset win over Seton Hall. And I know the Scarlet Knights have been paying dividends at the window lately (9-4-1 ATS last 13 games, including 8-3 ATS as an underdog). And I know that one of those spread-covers came at the Garden against St. John’s back on Feb. 2 (the Johnnies escaped with a 58-56 win but came up way short as an eight-point home favorite).

That said, this Rutgers is still being forced to play on back-to-back days for the first time all season, and it does so on St. John’s home court. More importantly, the Red Storm have been virtually unstopaable lately. With Saturday’s 16-point win over South Florida as a 12-point home favorite, St. John’s has won nine of its last 11 overall and eight of its last nine conference games.

Just as impressively, the Red Storm are on an 8-3 ATS tear, going 5-1 ATS at home with the only non-cover coming against Rutgers. Speaking of that first meeting between these teams, don’t forget that it was played just three days after St. John’s destroyed Duke at the Garden (a 93-78 win as an eight-point underdog). So it was a classic letdown spot for the Red Storm.

Today that letdown element doesn’t exist. In fact, I’m quite sure coach Steve Lavin will use last month’s close call against Rutgers to motivate his players, reminding them they can be beat today if they aren’t fully foceused on the task at hand.

One more thing working in the Red Storm’s favor in this contest: the start time. Not only did Rutgers have to work overtime to beat Seton Hall yesterday, but this one will tip less than 24 hours after yesterday’s game ended.

Lay the chalk with confidence as St. John’s (4-1 ATS last five neutral-site games) will try to establish an up-tempo pace from the get-go and eventually wear down the Scarlet Knights in the final 10 minutes of the game.

ANALYSIS

Don’t exactly understand what the oddsmakers were thinking when they lined this East Carolina-Central Florida game. All East Carolina has done is upset the Golden Knights three straight times, including two comfortable victories this year – 74-62 as a 13-point road underdog and 68-61 as a two-point home underdog. In fact, the Pirates have covered in five of the last six meetings, all from the underdog spot.

If you don’t care about recent history, then what about recent form? East Carolina ended the season with three wins and covers in its last four games, including two outright upsets over UTEP (83-76 at home) and Rice (71-68 on the road), plus a strong 11-point home victory over Memphis as a scant one-point chalk.

True, UCF did snap out of an eight-game losing skid by ending the regular season with five wins in its last seven games. However, one of those losses came on Saturday at Marshall, and it wasn’t pretty (83-69). More importantly, the Golden Knights never came close to covering as a four-point road underdog in that one, drophing to – get this – 3-13-1 ATS over the final 17 regular-season games (the final 16 of which were against Conference USA foes). And that 3-13-1 ATS slide includes just one spread-cover in 12 games as a favorite … and that was a 65-62 win at Tulane as a three-point chalk.

In fact, after opening C-USA play with a 65-58 win over Marshall (as an 11-point favorite), Central Florida won just five other league games and did so by the narrowest of margins: 1, 3, 6, 1 and 3 points.

Bottom line, guys: I’m not suggesting East Carolina is about to put on Cinderella’s slipper and make a run at this tournament championship. But the Pirates certainly have enough ability to get by Central Florida (as they’ve proven twice already this year). And for the Golden Knights to be favored, and favored by a decent margin, is more insane than Charlie Sheen.
