MARLINS ARE NOT GOING AWAY AND THEY ARE IN THE THICK OF THE WILD CARD RACE. WITH A RECORD OF 64-56 THEY ARE ONLY THREE GAMES OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS. THEY HAVE WON 8 OF THEIR LAST 11 AND WILL WIN TONIGHT. CY YOUNG CANDIDATE JOSH JOHNSON WILL PICK UP HIS 7TH ROAD WIN OF THE YEAR TONIGHT. HIS NUMBERS ARE GREAT. 12-2 WITH AN ERA OF 2.85 AND HIS TEAM HAS WON 18 OF HIS 24 STARTS. HE IS 6-1 ON THE ROAD AND IN HIS LAST 20 INNINGS HE IS 2-0 WITH AN ERA OF 2.70. NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots - Under 36.5 -110
Game Date: 8/20/2009
Note: There has been a lot of talk about how good Tom Brady played last week. And he certainly did. He looked like the Brady of the Past with outstanding completion percentage, lot's of yards passing, and he was also getting around the pocket very nicely. I know that Coach Bill was Beaming with Pleasure and Excitement. But wait. Coach Bill knows now that he can play. Coach Bill wants him to play. Coach Bill needs him to play. Coach Bill does not need for him to get hurt. Because without Tom Brady, and video technology no longer available to him, Coach Bill has no chance of going to the Big Game. That means that we will see less of Tom Brady tonight. That means we will see more of Kevin O'Connell. The Big O attempted only one pass last week and last year he sported a 43.8 Quarterback rating in three preseason games. Without Carson Palmer, we are also going to see the Backups for the Bengals in the game a lot. J.T. O'Sullivan and Jordan Palmer. O'Sullivan has not looked good during training camp and Jordan Palmer threw out a whopping 39.6 QB rating last week in New Orleans. Verses the Saints. You know the Saints. The Team that gave up a Gazillion Points last year. How are the Bengals going to score this week? My guess is NOT MUCH I think. I am going to play UNDER here and I am feeling good about it.

Philadelphia/Indianapolis Under 36.5

Both teams are very thin after their starting QB's. Worst case scenerio is Manning and McNabb each go down the field and put up seven each. All of the backups other then Feeley are rookies and I just do not see any of them taking over a game. Philadelphia is hurting at the O-Line and do not have much depth at runningback. The Colts are also not that deep at runningback and I just do not see where the points are going to come from other than maybe fluke defensive plays which you really cannot handicap. As you know it is tough to score in the preseason. Lets take our chances with the Under 36.5

Atlanta Braves vs. New York Mets
Play: New York Mets -115
Just have to like this price backing J.Santana.

At home he's been outstanding! 8-2 with an ERA of 2.32, having allowed only 73 hits in 89.1 innings. He's struck out 84 with a WHIP of 1.09!
In two starts vs Atlanta this season he's gone 13.1 innings and has allowed 12 hits and 0 ER's!

Too good to pass up on at this price.

*200 Cleveland Indians +1.5 -116

I am taking the Indians Run Line tonight. I think this game will be close. The Indians may even win the game SU, but I am taking a little security with the Run Line. I have trends totaling 41-13 SU in favor of the Indians winning and 2-11 SU in favor of a Angels loss. Take the Indians RL for a nice win.
