3-0 Yesterday, 9-3 the last 5 days and 61% over the last 60 days!

*200 Houston Astros -111

The Astros are looking for another win tonight, and I have found the trends that say they will. First, we have the Nationals as 3-25 SU since June 17, 2008 as a road dog and is is the first game of a series. Next, we have the Nationals as 4-22 SU since 2008 as a dog after a loss in which they were shut out in the first six innings. And, Finally, we have the Astros as 19-3 SU since 2004 season as a home favorite after a win in which they allowed 6 or fewer hits and it is the first game in a series.
Take the Astros for the win tonight.

Bonus Play

*200 Atlanta Braves +120

I look for the Away Braves to get a nice Dog win for us tonight. I have trends totaling 22-55 SU against the Rockies. Take the Braves for the win tonight.

Thursday's Play...

15 Dime –

NATIONALS (Game 2 of doubleheader)

Take the Nationals tonight over the Astros.

John Lannan gets the start tonight and he’s been the Nats’ best pitcher this year by far. The left-hander is 6-5 with a 3.45 ERA on the year and has been the starter in five of Washington’s 10 wins since June 6, going 4-0 with a 2.40 ERA in six games during that stretch.

Lannan has also enjoyed success at the expense of the Astros, going 3-0 with a 3.71 ERA in three lifetime starts.

Houston will counter with Russ Ortiz, who is 0-2 with a 4.31 ERA in five starts since being moved into the starting rotation from the bullpen. The right-hander pitches to contact too much for my liking and is susceptible to being hit hard tonight against a Nationals team that does a fair job of swinging the bats.

Take the Nationals as they grab the road win tonight.

Royals at Red Sox

Pick: Red Sox -1.5

I really like the Boston Red Sox in this game vs KC...Boston is playing really well and B.Penny is pitching great...the Sox just haven't given him the run support needed to win games...the Sox are swinging the lumber much better these days while the KC Royals are struggling...L.Hochevar has been pitching well but this will be a tough lineup and place to win at...Hochevar was 0-2 last year @ Fenway with an ERA almost 10...the Royals are 5-17 in the last 22 meetings in Boston...1-6 in the last 7 meetings...Boston has one of the best home records in all baseball...Boston run line is the play here

MLB THURSDAY BLAST

ATLANTA BRAVES @ COLORADO ROCKIES

PLAY: COLORADO ROCKIES -130 3 UNITS

The Colorado Rockies have been on a tear and are now 14-4 in their last 18 at home. They will send Aaron Cook to the mound who has pitched well all season, especially of late. The Rockies are 5-1 in his last 6 starts, and he has pitched to an ERA of 1.98. He will square off against Tommy Hansen who has been equally good, but the Rockies have been especially tough after a win, where they have been 20-6. The Braves have dropped 4 of their last 5 games in Colorado. I'm going with the Rockies in this one.

Thursday's Play
5 Dime - SAN FRANCISCO (Lincecum) - 1 1/2 Runs over San Diego (Geer)

Tim Lincecum struggled somewhat at the season's start, but the reigning National League Cy Young Award-winner has been superb of late, allowing just one earned run and 12 hits while winning his last three stats, striking out 29 over 25 innings. He's 4-1 in his last five outings with a 1.07 ERA and 46 strikeouts in 42 innings.

Lincecum was rocked in his first start this season by San Diego, allowing 10 hits and four runs in 5.1 innings while absorbing the loss. But that is his only bad recent outing against the Padres. Sandwiched around that outing, he is 3-0 with a 0.72 ERA in seven other starts with 59 strikeouts in 50.1 innings. One of those outings came May 21 on the road when he fanned 10 and allowed one run on four hits over seven innings while picking up a no-decision.

San Diego's Josh Geer is coming off four consecutive quality starts, but three of them came at pitcher-friendly Petco Park where his ERA for the year is 3.83 in seven outings. In six road starts, however, the righthander sports a 6.55 ERA. And for the season, no matter the location, Geer has allowed 98 baserunners in 79 innings pitched.

The Giants are on a 7-2 run at home, where they're 28-14 on the season. With Lincecum carrying a 29-inning scoreless streak into tonight's game, it's worth laying the 1 1/2 runs with San Francisco to back its ace at the greatly reduced Run Line price against a San Diego club that enters with a 12-29 road record. And, the Padres have lost seven of their last eight games overall.
