Baltimore couldn't pull through for this one, and truly reinforces the point as to why betting in late August is exceptionally risky. In the original MLB system manual, it is stated that:
"We stop betting in MLB by the 3rd week of August every year due to the fact that bets become much more risky after the 3rd week of August."
As you can see today, it rings true once again! My relentless research into decades of baseball have always shown that by the 3rd week of August is always when the system becomes less reliable. This year shows once again what my past research concluded.
