The wind is so furious in Ralph Wilson Stadium that the league was considering delaying the game. Winds blowing near 40 mph have destroyed the stadium, bending the goal posts, causing power outages and blowing the benches 40 yards down the field.
Grounds crews were actually evacuated earlier this morning. The wind is supposed to die down as it gets closer to game time but could give way to rain as well as thunder and lightning. The NFL met this morning and decided to kept kickoff as scheduled.

The 49'ers of the NFC West Division under their interim manager Mike Singletary are 6-9 Straight Up, and 7-8 Against The Spread this season. They are on current 4-2 SU and ATS winning runs, and may have secured Coach Singletary's position for next year. Positive trends for the Niners include 4-1 ATS off Division Play, and 8-3 ATS versus winning teams in the second half of the season. RB Gore is listed as Probable here.
The Redskins enter this Conference match up out of the East Division, and under their first-year Head Coach Jim Zorn are 8-7 SU and 6-8-1 ATS on the year. They showed heart by beating the Eagles SU as Home Dogs in their last. The Skins have little to play for here, except for possibly their Coach's job. Negative trends include 2-11 ATS versus losing teams, 13-20 ATS on Grass fields, and 1-4 ATS versus the NFC West.
The line opened at 49'ers -3. We'll go with the Home 49'ers to cover.
