One of our favorite trends over the last few years in baseball has been playing the Cardinals the night after a loss. The Red Birds are 104-68 (+25 UNITS) the last three years in that situation, including 19-14 (+4.2 UNITS) this season. Last night's loss at Seattle was almost expected since there was a natural let down for St. Louis after a sweep of the Cubs at Wrigley. Tonight, they'll get back into form against a Mariners team that has been a money-eater at home, going 16-18 (-9.93 UNITS) this season and a dismal 93-103 (-43.4 UNITS) the last three seasons. Let's play the better team with the better bullpen in a great situation as an underdog.
