Shut Out System Plays(a=game1, b=game2 of chase and so forth)
When to avoid a selection. Avoid a match-up at all cost when this criteria is met.
1. Do not select a game if the best offensive player on the team you’re supposed to be betting is injured.
2. Do not select a game if the catcher on the team you’re supposed to be betting is injured.
3. Do not select a game if there is a pitching change before the game. The starting pitchers must pitch.
4. Do not select a game if the team you’re betting on is shutout in a middle of a progression. (In other words a series cannot qualify during your current series)
5. Do not select a game if the team selected is last in their division.
6. Terminate a progression at anytime a key injury occurs(cut your losses). Reference 1 & 2.
7. Terminate a progression at anytime during a series if there is a rain out.
8. Terminate a progression at anytime during the 4-games there is a time change.
9. Do no start a progression if the team you are betting against previously got swept the series before.

Mets -125 (Koehler/Niese)
There are some negatives here, mostly having to do with Jon Niese's lousy recent form. He has not been good, although se still grades out better than Marlins righty Tom Koehler. Niese has a had a terrible time with Giancarlo Stanton as well. But the positives here are not bad at all. The Marlins have not hit lefties at all well on the road, while the Mets have done well vs. righties at home. The bullpen edge is clearly with the Mets. The key for me is that the Marlins are now 3-8 under Dan Jennings, and they've looked pretty bad in the process. Stanton has refused to endorse the hiring and he's the face of the franchise. My stance to bet against the Marlins whenever it's not an unreasonable price remains intact, so I'll go Mets here.

Scott Spreitzer | MLB Money Line Sat, 05/30/15 – 4:10 PM

dime bet – 907 Mia (+118) vs 908 NYM
Analysis: I’m backing Miami on Saturday afternoon. The Marlins captured last night’s contest as an underdog to Matt Harvey, winning 4-3. I expect another win today. We have gone against Jonathan Niese a couple of times of late with success. Niese has been smacked for 16 earned runs and 30 base runners in his last three starts spanning just 16 innings. Today, the Mets’ lefty will face a Miami team that ranks 8th & 9th against southpaws in batting average and OBP. And current Miami Marlins have clocked Niese, posting a combined .359 batting average against him. Giancarlo Stanton leads the way with a .407 batting average, three home runs, and seven RBI in 27 at-bats. Meanwhile, current Mets’ hitters have been shut down by Tom Koehler, who has held New York to a .192 batting average. And while seven current Marlins are hitting .300 or better against Niese, just one member of the Mets is hitting .300 against Koehler. Miami enters on a 5-0 run when Koehler throws on five days rest, while the Mets are just 1-5 in Niese’s last six starts. I’m backing the Miami Marlins, My Daytime DogPound release.
