4 Unit Play. #512. Take Over 188 between the Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks (Saturday @ 7pm est). The Bucks are down 0-2 and they need to step up here. At the same time, I can't force myself to get wager on the Bucks without Bogut and Redd although they have been a team to root for as they came on strong despite these injuries. Nevertheless, the Bucks do play better at home, will get more calls and consequently score more points. I look for them to push the Haws to the edge today and consequently this game to go over the posted total. Remember, in Atlanta they scored 92 and 86 points. But, at home against the Hawks earlier this year, they put up 96 points. That game was also totaled at 188 and went to 200. Plus, Milwaukee put up 90 points against the Celtics at home, and that final score was 90-105 (195) - still above the impasse posted today of 188. This team put up 107 points against the Suns at home and for what its worth, they put up 108 points on a typical under team in the Nets at home. The Hawks are 5-0 to the Over when they are a small dog (hence, active dog 'over' which I have always advocated) and the Bucks are 5-0-1 in their last six home games which goes to show they show comfort at home and score more points at home.
2 Unit Play. #969. Take Under 8.5 between the Seattle Mariners vs. Chicago Whitesox (Saturday @ 4:10pm est). Doug Fister has pitched well thus far this year. He has given up just one run this year in a span of 15 innings over his last two starts. In fact, he is 2-1 overall this year with a 1.42 ERA as the Mariners have to be thrilled with how he is pitching so far. Freddy Garcia had a brutal outing in his last start giving up seven runs at Toronto in just three innings of work. I can't expect Garcia to have a similar rough outing back at home today. The Under is 4-0-1 in Fister's last five starts and the Under is 10-4-2 in Garcia's last 16 starts as a favorite.
2 Unit Play. #912. Take the Colorado Rockies +105 over the Florida Marlins (Saturday @ 5pm est) (Same selection as yesterday that still applies today). This is just a stem off of yesterday's selection that got postponed. I like Nolasco to have a bit of a let down today after his great performance against the Phillies. Greg Smith has given up two runs in each of his last two starts and although he pitched well at Atlanta, he ended up getting a no-decision as the Rockies lost 3-4. I like him to come back home today and have a strong start. The Rockies are 16-5 in their last 21 home games against a right hander.
2 Unit Play. #976. Take the Boston Redsox -1.5 (+115) over the Baltimore Orioles (Saturday @ 7:10pm est). This is a straight play on Lackey, at home, coming off a rough outing. He gave up 8 runs on 9 hits in his last start against Tampa Bay at home. Obviously he is itching to get back to the mound to prove himself. The Rays ended up winning that game 2-8. Lackey prior to that had two quality starts including defeating the Twins 6-3 on the road and opening the season against the Yanks by yielding no runs in six innings of work. Let's take a shot at Lackey against the Orioles today to bounce-back as the dog price on the run-line is decent as well.
