CFB STEAMROLLER GAME OF THE WEEK …UNLV (-9-)
Hawaii at UNLV (-9-) 6:00 ET
Hawaii travels to UNLV for the Saturday matchup in MWC action. In a travel schedule virtually unheard of, even in these advanced times, Hawaii will be playing for the 10th consecutive week and making their 6th trip to the mainland. Last week, in our 6% CFB STEAMROLLER GOY, Air Force pounded their way through the Hawaii defense, outrushing the Rainbow Warriors 496 to -2 in a (58-7) classic STEAMROLLER. At the conclusion of the game, the Hawaii players had at last achieved their goal of getting HC Chow fired! Not satisfied with allowing Chow to gracefully bow out, as lame duck after his storied career as CFB coach, the Hawaii administration not only pulled the plug but also refused to buy Chow’s plane ticket for his return flight to the mainland with the team. This is UGLY! And it is clear that Hawaii at 2-7 SU for the year, 0-5 SU, 1-4 ATS in league play, has tossed the towel! Following a career which has seen Chow go 10-36 SU at the helm of the Warriors, he is replaced by Asst. Coach, Naeole for the balance of the season. Though UNLV is on a 3-game losing streak and just 2-6 SU for the season, there is hope for the Rebels. Their improvement from the 5-year Bob Hauck regime is evident for 1st year HC Tony Sanchez. That was apparent, when last week they played Boise St. on virtually even terms for 3 quarters, before failing late to the Boise depth by a final count of 55-27. UNLV has only been favored once on this field the entire season! But, they responded by defeating Idaho St. (80-8) as 12 point chalk in outrushing the Tigers 517-91. With the mental all on the side of the home team and a UNLV ground game that averages 200/4.6, it will be no surprise to this bureau if the Hawaii defensive front, allowing 258/4.6, again gets STEAMROLLED into submission.

Penn State vs. Northwestern (NCAAF)
12:00 PM EST Penn State
Premium Pick
Play Title: 8 Star Big Ten Barnburner
Play Selected: Money Line: 110
Analysis: There’s just something attractive about playing a team that’s gelling offensively with a killer “D” in revenge mode. Penn State QB Christian Hackenberg has found his comfort zone and its showed. He hasn’t thrown a pick since September. HC James Franklin has found a system that’s worked for a team coming in looking for win number 8. The Wildcats have not responded well in this position in the series since they have NEVER beaten the Nittany Lions in the chalk role. Northwestern looks like it’s regressing. The tide has turned. Let’s go to Ryan Field in Evanston to play the Penn State Nittany Lions on the ML as my 8 Star Big Ten Barnburner!

Notre Dame vs. Pittsburgh (NCAAF)
12:00 PM EST Pittsburgh
Premium Pick
Play Title: 8 STAR Line Value Play Of The Week
Play Selected: Point Spread: 10.0/-115
Analysis: It’s been a tough road since the early-season injury to James Connor. Pitt has responded nicely coming in here @ 6-2. With 2 close losses to the undefeated Tar Heels & Hawkeyes, the Panthers loss margin has never been above 7. There’s 2 things that intrigue me about this matchup. First, the fact that Panthers’ HC Pat Narduzzi knows how to contain the Fighting Irish offense very well from his days @ Michigan State. His D’s finished in the CFB Top 8 defensively 4 straight times. The second has to be a Pitt defense that’s allowed opponents just 17 short trips to the red zone in 8 games. On the flip side of the coin, their rushing game has been solid with 541 yards stretched out over the last 3 games. In the turnover column the past 4 games, Pitt’s turned it over 3 times compared to 8 for Notre Dame. With the balls bouncing our way, let’s make a stop by the Three Rivers @ Heinz Field to play the Pittsburgh Panthers ( buy to + 10 1/2) as my 8 Star Line Value Play Of The Week!

Syracuse vs. Louisville (NCAAF)
12:30 PM EST Syracuse
Premium Pick
Play Title: 9 STAR Points Are Golden Play
Play Selected: Point Spread: 14.0/-120
Analysis: Louisville may have won the last 2 games to even its record @ 4-4, but this Bobby Petrino team has done it with smoke n’ mirrors. They’ve fortunately squeeked past Boston College & Wake Forest by a combined margin of 4. Even more alarming has to be beating Wake Forest by 1 despite being the recipient of 5 turnovers. The something choppy and unsettling about bringing up the Cardinals offense. The Orange under HC Scott Shafer may be just 3-5, but now faces a Red N’ Black offense that’s mustered less than 20 PPG over their last 3. Syracuse QB Eric Dungey can compete and keep his team in it to win without silly turnovers. I will side with the revenge-minded side over that which looks in a downhill mode. Let’s invade Papa John;s Cardinal Stadium to take the Syracuse Orange (but buy to + 14 1/2) as my 9 Star Points Are Golden Play!

Arkansas vs. Mississippi (NCAAF)
3:30 PM EST Arkansas
Premium Pick
Play Title: 8 Star SEC Barking Out Loud Road Dogger
Play Selected: Point Spread: 10.0/-106
Analysis: I like the situational edge pointing toward a team that’s responded well in the dog role @ 3-0 thus far. Arkansas will have better focus & will be in revenge off an embarrassing 30-0 setback last season. L.S.U. remains immediately in the wings for Ole Miss so I’m not looking for the Rebels’ “A” game @ home this week. I feel that Pig Nation will come in confident and deliver a double-digits cover. Let’s head to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford to play the Arkansas Razorbacks ( buy to + 10 1/2) as my 8 Star SEC Barking out Loud Road Dogger!

TCU vs. Oklahoma State (NCAAF)
3:30 PM EST Oklahoma State
Premium Pick Pinnacle
Play Title: 9 Star ML Dog Up She Rises Shocker
Play Selected: Money Line: 201
Analysis: The linesmakers and the nation are literally dissing the Cowboys’ chances at a victory here. HC Gary Patterson & his Horned Frogs deserve respect but not this much. The fact remain that this same Horned Frogs’ squad has been outscored the past 2 visits (2012, 2013) by a 60-24 count. Stillwater has been a difficult place to play for T.C.U.. I feel their defense can be had. Their past 3 road contests has seen them give up around 40 PPG. It’s going to be tough to win every shootout in a shootout conference like the Big 12. Oklahoma State has been averaging 47 PPG in conference home game this season. I love their chances to make a game of this & pull out a win in a statement game. Let’s head to Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater to eagerly play the Oklahome State Cowboys +201 on the ML as my 9 Star ML Dog Up She Rises Shocker!

Rutgers vs. Michigan (NCAAF)

Play Title: 9 Star CFB Totals Plunger Of The Week
Play Selected: Total: 50.0/-110
Analysis: I can identify with what new Michigan skipper Jim Harbaugh is doing in Ann Arbor. His defense should shed a similar light to Penn State’s when they limited the Scarlet Knights to a FG earlier on. Wolverine statistics have better clarity if we throw out their hated rivalry game with Michigan State at this venue. The Maize N’ Blue know how to control the clock with smash-mouth football. In the process, they have limited other invading visitors to a lights-out 3.5 PPG @ Michigan Stadium. I’m ready to go to Ann Arbor to play the Rutgers-Michigan game to go UNDER as my 9 Star CFB Totals Plunger Of The Week!

Hawaii vs. UNLV (NCAAF)
6:00 PM EST UNLV

Play Title: 8 Star Vegas Line Pusher
Play Selected: Point Spread: -9.5/-109
Analysis: Ex-Bishop Gorman High School HC & now U.N.L.V. HC Tony Sanchez knew the transition wouldn’t be smooth after leaving an 85-5 & 6 straight state titles squad to head 14 miles down the road to rebuild a Rebels’ program that’s enjoyed only 2 winning seasons (last one in 2013, finished 7-6) in the last 20 campaigns. For this matchup, this is more a play against Hawaii game than a power U.N.L. V. one. This represents the 6th time in 9 weeks the Rainbows will venture to the mainland and I’m banking fatigue will set in for probable lame-duck HC Norm Chow. In their 5 road contests thus far, they’ve been outscored by an average of 26+ PPG. Sanchez can use this game as a stepping stone to returning his team back to respectability. With Colorado State, San Diego State & Wyoming left on the schedule, there’s a chance to notch at least double last season’s win total. I look for a juiced-up home team to pull out the stops and go on the attack. I’m ready to sit cozy in Sam Boyd Stadium to watch the U.N.L.V. Rebels cover the – 9 1/2 as my 8 Star Vegas Line Pusher!

South Florida vs. East Carolina (NCAAF)
7:30 PM EST South Florida
Premium Pick
Play Title: 8 Star 2nd Solid ML Dogger Of The Week
Play Selected: Money Line: 160
Analysis: These Bulls of 2015-16 aren’t the same patsies that have gone 9-27 SU over the past 3 seasons. They remain @ 4-4 & still thirsty in the hunt for a bowl bid (have a current 5-year drought). Things will look promising with a win here and one with UCF to close out the regular season. This is a circled game for HC Willie Taggart (ex-Western Kentucky QB) & his South Florida team as they look to execute revenge for a 28-17 setback last year in Tampa. I feel the Bulls can find a sustained ground attack (averaging 218 yards over the past 4 contests) featuring RB Marlon Mack versus a porous East Carolina “D”. My bottom line says that the 4-5 Pirates are way too turnover-prone (10 in the last 4 games) for any type of serious consideration. My 8 Star 2nd Solid ML Dogger Of The Week Play visits Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville to take the South Florida Bulls outright!

Utah vs. Washington (NCAAF)
7:30 PM EST Washington
Premium Pick
Play Title: 9 STAR Headliner Moneyliner
Play Selected: Money Line: -130
Analysis: Each week there’s always a few teams that make you scratch your head. This week, 7-1 Utah will be one of those teams. Close games are usually decided in the trenches and on turnovers. Their defense hasn’t been reaping turnovers (none the last 2 games) & the Washington offense haven’t been giving away ( none their last 2) freebies. Two more gigantic pluses are a Huskies’ ground game that’s looked solid (201 versus Arizona last week) along with their defense that’s forced 5 TO’s the last 2 weeks. Look for another “A” game from Chris Petersen’s 4-4 squad that looks to go on a late-season run toward bowl eligibility in November. My 9 Star Headliner Moneyliner goes to Husky Stadium in Seattle to play the Washington Huskies!
Season record 24-19 56% 10 Star season record 5-3 63%
