2* St. Louis/Cubs UNDER 7.5
The Cardinals just avoided a sweep by the Pirates and now return home to face the lowly Cubs. They aren’t THAT bad…but they can’t score. And even we Samarja is on the mound, and pitches 6-7 innings of scoreless ball…they STILL don’t win. Couple that with the fact that the Cardinals are returning home (we do look to fade teams their first game back off a road trip…but it’s still a bit early in the season to start making those plays just yet. But we soon will be). Finally, we generally like UNDERs in the Cardinals ballpark. Tonight is no difference, and Wood is a good ENOUGH pitcher to keep the Cards bats quiet. Taking a stab on the UNDER here.
NBA: 2* Spurs/Blazers UNDER 210 - - 1* Heat (ML)
I’m willing to bet another 2* of our money that they won’t be scoring 70 in the 4th quarter again. This is a closeout game for the Spurs, and a desperation effort for the Blazers. Either the Spurs route the Blazers and bring in the bench in a clinching game. Or the Blazers keep it close and down the stretch they’ll have to play some defense. Taking the UNDER here.
I do lean to the Heat tonight, and I think they win. I will be personally playing them for 1*, but like I say all the time, I limit you guys’ exposure because I am about LONG-TERM success. The plays I’m the most confident are above, and for those of you who want another game….it’s the Heat M/L for 1* for me.
