Welcome to Ecks & Bacon for Monday, February 16, 2015 (aka Chalk or benjamin lee Eckstein)
Pittsburgh +13-
If you have not walked the Virginia campus at Charlottesville, you NEED to. It was designed by Thomas Jefferson, who lived a few dribbles up the hill in Monticello, and it is spectacular! Speaking of dribbling, we're gonna rock the visiting Pittsburgh Panthers +13.5 points over UVA. We have one reason, Justin Anderson. The Cavaliers lost Anderson, their LEADING SCORER, back on February 7 (fractured finger) in a game against Louisville. The Cavs wound up winning that game 52-47, by ONLY five points. Then they beat NC State, 51-47, ONLY four points, and Wake Forest, 61-60, ONLY one point. To say that Virginia is struggling on offense without an All-American type player like Anderson would be a huge understatement. Okay, put me down for a HUGE understatement. And it's not only his offense that is missed. He is a great defender, maybe the best individual stopper on the team. UVA has covered only one of the last six, while Pitt has covered three of the last four. Gimme half a Benjamin on Pittsburgh.
