My final pick of the college football season goes tonight with a big 5* play on Oregon. I realize that the Oregon defense is nothing to write home about. I don't care, they'll make enough stops. And I know that Carrington tested positive for that nasty killer-drug marijuana and won't play (a college kid smoking pot, must be a first.) I don't care, next man up. All this has been figured into the pointspread. Systems, angles, trends, and power ratings are for suckers and have absolutely no relevance in trying to determine the pointspread winner of any football game. So where did this pick come from? I live on the west coast and have had the opportunity to watch Oregon play all year. The offense is unstoppable. It's not all about Mariota, they can also run with Freeman who should be a big factor in this game. Elliott's going to get his yards for Ohio but I see Oregon getting out to an early lead, Ohio St. will abandon the run and try to rely on the passing of a 3rd string QB on the biggest stage of his young life. Granted he's looked real good the last couple games, but I just don't see that continuing tonight. I think Oregon will be able to get to him and the kid will get rattled into a few mistakes. Now, is this pick a lock? Of course not, there's no such thing, it's just a 5* play. It's just my opinion, that's all, a hunch. That's all any of this is. But my hunches (or whatever reasons I've used to make my picks) have been right the last 16 times that I've released a 5* "side" play since Oct 18. (documented by The Sports Eye) Skill? Of course not. Luck? Hell yes! That's all any of this is. This streak won't last forever but am sure enjoying it while it does. My next streak might be 16 straight losers, who the hell knows. But anyway, I am putting my 5* winning streak on the line with Oregon kicking ass in tonight's game. This should be a real fun game, enjoy. I have no opinion on the total. Quack! Quack!
