The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

PICK 'N' ROLL

Friday's Best NBA Bets

Miami Heat at New York Knicks (5, 209)

This one was almost a showdown between two teams on a combined 19-game winning streak. The Heat have won 10 in a row and the Knicks were seconds away from beating Boston on Wednesday night in MSG and earning their ninth straight W.

Instead, Paul Pierce broke a tie game on a jumper with 0.4 second remaining. Amar'e Stoudemire responded with a three-pointer from the top of the key that would have won the game, but it came after the buzzer. While the Knicks (and the Heat, for that matter) have been beating up on relative puffcakes, they were not about to call it a moral victory against the Eastern Conference's elite.

"Tough loss; tough shot," said Raymond Felton. "I'd rather lose by 15 points than like this. I am mad. I hate to lose."

Two days after getting a shot at the team with the best record in the conference, New York gets a crack at one of the hottest teams in basketball. The Heat almost became the fourth team in NBA history to win 10 games in a row all by double-digits. They won their 10th on Wednesday, however, by just six points over Cleveland.

Now Miami is focused on the Knicks, who would be the team's biggest scalp in its last 11 outings.

"It'll be a great environment; one of those games that you love to play in, those moments that you look forward to," said Dwyane Wade. "And when Friday comes I think we'll all be excited."

Pick: NY Knicks +5

Utah Jazz at New Orleans Hornets (1, 189)

The Jazz are in the midst of a rare three-day break from games as they head into a four-game road trip, starting on Friday in New Orleans. Mehmet Okur, who has been out since undergoing Achilles' surgery in April, is going to make the trip but may not play at all (he definitely won't against the Hornets).

Utah will, however, see the return of Raja Bell. The veteran guard has missed the past three games with an adductor strain and he is a game-time decision for Friday. "I'm treating it like I'm gonna play," Bell said.

The last time the Jazz went on a four-game road trek, they won all four games in dramatic come-from-behind fashion.

"That first game is going to be really important," said star guard Deron Williams. "Sometimes how you play in that first game can dictate how the rest of the trip goes."

"Ya, that New Orleans game, they're going to try and come at us because we already won the first game against them," added center Al Jefferson. "So that's the one that's going to be the big win, because like D-Will said, it's going to set the tone for the rest of them."

Utah drubbed the Hornets 105-87 at home on Nov. 24. Williams scored 26 points and Jefferson chipped in 23 to go along with 10 rebounds.

Friday's Best NCAAB Bets

Oregon Ducks at Virginia Cavaliers (-7)

Virginia will have had a nine-day break for finals when it takes the court against Oregon on Friday. Wahoos' head coach Tony Bennett said the rest was productive for injured players Sammy Zeglinski (knee) and Will Sherrill (broken fibula).

But that matters little for Sherrill at the moment, as he is still out and will miss Friday's game.

"I don't know if it will heal until the season's done and he can take time off, but you can play with this injury," Bennett explained. "It's more based on what kind of pain you can handle. So I've been teasing him, 'If you're tough you'll be playing, if you're not, you won't,' we joke around."

Zeglinski, though, is back from offseason knee surgery. Expected to be the team's starting point guard, the redshirt junior missed the first seven games of the 2010 campaign. Zeglinski played a total of 27 minutes in victories over Virginia Tech and Radford. He is likely to get more playing time against an Oregon team that likes to press.

"If they're going to press and put that kind of pressure on you, you want guys who can handle it and make good decisions," Bennett noted. "Another ball-handler is always a good thing."

Pick: Virginia Cavaliers

Tennessee Volunteers at Charlotte 49ers (12, 144)

One team gets a player, another team loses one.

Tennessee returns sophomore forward Jeronne Maymon, who was academically cleared when grades were submitted earlier this week. Maymon played nine games last season for Marquette before transferring. He gives the Volunteers an imposing frontcourt of Maymon (6'6'', 240 pounds), Tobias Harris (6'8'', 220), and Brian Williams (6'10'', 278).

Charlotte, on the other hand, kicked its leading scorer off the team on Tuesday. Shamari Spears, a 6'6'', 245-pound forward, got the boot after having been suspended for more than a month due to a violation of team rules. He averaged 17.0 points and 3.2 rebounds through five games.

"After much consideration, it is the decision of our coaching staff that Shamari Spears and our team part ways at this time," head coach Alan Major announced. "We want to wish him the best in his future endeavors and we will continue to move forward as a team."

The 49ers have plenty of moving forward to do, as they are 4-6 and coming off a 82-68 loss at Davidson last weekend. Tennessee is also looking to bounce back. After upsetting Michigan State, the Vols were stunned at home by Oakland 89-82 on Tuesday.

Pick: Tennessee Volunteers

Friday's Best CFB Bet

Villanova Wildcats at Eastern Washington Eagles (+10, 54)

What to know: In the challenging and frigid air of Cheney, Washington, on the maddening and disorienting red turf of Roos Field, the Villanova Wildcats and the Eastern Washington Eagles will meet with a championship berth at stake.

Villanova needed a 28-21 overtime victory over Delaware in the season finale to gain consideration for an at-large bid. Since then, the Wildcats have reeled off impressive road victories over Stephen F. Austin and No. 1-seeded Appalachian State.

Typically geared to stop the run, the Wildcats adapted to Jeremy Moses and the pass-happy SFA offense, dropping eight men into coverage and intercepting the talented quarterback three times en route to a 54-24 victory.

Last week, in the quarterfinals, Villanova again proved its versatility as it held Appalachian State and dual-threat quarterback DeAndre Presley to 100 rushing yards in a 42-24 victory. James Pitts led the Wildcats with 14 tackles and Fred Maldano recorded an interception. The Wildcats currently rank No. 7 in the nation in both rushing defense (98.5 ypg) and scoring defense (17.5 ppg).

An even bigger boon to the Wildcats' playoff run, though, has been the return of Matt Szczur. After missing the majority of the season, the versatile playmaker seems to be rounding into form at just the right time. Against Appalachian State, Szczur delivered an instant classic, as he rushed for 104 yards and three touchdowns, caught five passes for 45 yards and a touchdown and went 2-for-2 through the air for 58 yards with another score. His four touchdowns scored were a single-game career high.

In Szczur's absence, the Wildcats leaned heavily upon their talented offensive line and dispersed the ball-carrying duties between Aaron Ball (59.7 ypg), quarterback Chris Whitney (44.9 ypg) and Angelo Babbaro (37.4 ypg). It can be argued that the unit grew without having its star player to rely on.

Whitney also has found success through the air, where he has thrown for 2,146 yards and 22 touchdowns. Receiver Norman White is a legitimate big play threat. He has caught 66 passes for 842 yards and 11 touchdowns this year.

Eastern Washington played its way to the quarterfinals with home wins over Southeast Missouri State and North Dakota State. Roos Field has been particularly comforting to EWU this season, as the Eagles are undefeated on their new red turf.

Last week's wild, 38-31 overtime win over North Dakota State was both elating and devastating to the Eagles. It was elating because EWU overcame five turnovers and some key mistakes by quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell to capture a thrilling victory. Mitchell threw two interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown, but recovered to throw for 141 yards and three touchdowns on the day. The offensive catalyst for the Eagles, as usual, was running back Taiwan Jones, who ran for 230 yards and a touchdown in the win.

And now for the devastating part. Jones broke his left foot in the game and will not play against Villanova.

True freshman Mario Brown will take Jones' place in the starting lineup. He has rushed for 214 yards and a touchdown on 66 carries this season and has caught 11 passes for 77 yards and a score. Brown is a capable back, but does not figure to provide Jones' home run capabilities.

Still, if they Eagles are looking for encouragement, they need look no further than an October 2 regular-season matchup against Weber State. With Jones out due to injury, the Eagles scored 35 points and Brown scored his first collegiate touchdown in the win.

To be realistic, though, Weber State can't hold a candle to the Villanova defense and the loss of Jones will likely go down in the books as one of the most untimely injuries in EWU history.

Pick: Villanova Wildcats

Friday's Best NHL Bets

Detroit Red Wings at Chicago Blackhawks (-115, N/A)

NHL teams aren't too proud to kick an opponent when it's down, especially when that team is your hated rival.

The Detroit Red Wings can deliver a crushing blow to the Chicago Blackhawks, who have lost three straight games including a 5-4 defeat to the Colorado Avalanche on Wednesday night. Chicago allowed three goals in the third period, two of those coming on an Avs power play following a questionable high-sticking penalty to Jordan Hendry.

"I totally disagree with the call," head coach Joel Quenneville told the media. "But we still have to get through that."

Fingers are pointing at the offense, defense and special teams during this slump. The Blackhawks have allowed six total goals in the final frame in the past two games, both versus Colorado as part of a home-and-home series.

"You can say there’s one bad game out of three, but at the end of the day we only have one point in our last three games, and what good is that?" forward Jonathan Toews told reporters following Wednesday’s loss. "You can talk all day about doing good things out there and working for chances and working around the net and giving those second efforts, but it just doesn’t cut it when you don’t get the results that you want."

Detroit has won three straight meetings with Chicago, most recently taking a 3-2 win back in October. Over the past 10 head-to-head games between these Original Six rivals, the Red Wings are 6-4.

Pick: Detroit Red Wings

Buffalo Sabres at Florida Panthers (-110, 5)

Every loss stings, but when you cough up a three-goal lead to lose the game, defeat feels more like a sucker-punch to the back of the head.

The Florida Panthers are picking themselves up off the mat after suffering such a loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday. They jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period only to give up four unanswered goals to the Hurricanes, including three in the third period, losing 4-3.

"It's inexcusable to lose a lead like that,'' Florida head coach Peter DeBoer told the Miami Herald after Wednesday’s crushing defeat.

"There's no sugarcoating it. We didn't get any of the right plays at the right times from our goaltender on out. It's inexcusable at this time of year; the importance of that game. Not more you can say than that.''

Florida was out-shot 12-4 in the third period, losing its second straight game. The Panthers fell to the Nashville Predators 3-0 earlier in the week, managing just 22 shots in total. They’ve lost eight of their last 10 meetings with the Sabres, who have taken the last two games against Florida.

Pick: Buffalo Sabres

Bettors' Best Friend (BBF): Friday's Wagering Tips

Who's Hot

NBA: The Thunder are 4-0 ATS in their last four overall.

NBA: The 76ers are 8-0 ATS in their last eight home games.

NCAAB: The over is 11-2 in Oregon's last 13 non-conference games and 10-2 in its last 12 overall.

NHL: The Predators are 4-0 in their last four overall.

Who's Not

NBA: The Hawks are 3-12 ATS in their last 15 home games.

NBA: The Hornets are 3-13-1 ATS in their last 17 overall.

NCAAB: Charlotte is 0-5 ATS in its last five against the SEC.

NHL: The Senators are 1-5 in their last six road games.

Key Stat

0-15 – That's the Clippers' record in their last 15 road games dating back to last season. They lost their last four away from home during their 2009-10 campaign and they have started this season 0-11 on the road. Of course, their woes as visitors are so well-documented that they obviously get plenty of points from Vegas whenever they travel. The Clippers are a respectable 6-5 ATS this season on the road. One of the myriad reasons for their woes is that Blake Griffin is averaging 17.5 points per game on the road, just about five fewer than he averages at home.

Injuries That Shouldn't Be Overlooked

The Colorado Avalanche have currently won four games in a row following a four-game losing streak, and they have done it without a pair of key contributors. Chris Stewart missed all four wins (and every game this month) with a broken hand and fellow right winger Milan Hejduk missed Wednesday's win at Chicago with a groin injury. Stewart is out until January. Hejduk, who has scored goals in three of his last four games and has six goals in his last nine outings, is questionable for Friday's home date with Ottowa.

Biggest Game On The Slate

Miami Heat at New York Knicks

Notable Quotable

"Everybody keeps saying Indy, Indy. What about us? What about the Jacksonville Jaguars? What about us going out and executing and holding everything we want in our own hands?" -- Jaguars' linebacker Kirk Morrison, whose team leads the AFC South by one game over the Colts. Jacksonville visits Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon.

Tips And Notes

Tennessee sophomore forward Jeronne Maymon has been cleared to play when the Volunteers visit UNC-Charlotte on Friday. Maymon finally got the green light when final grades were submitted. A transfer from Marquette, he averaged 4.0 points and 4.2 rebounds in nine games with his former team last season. Tennessee was hoping to have Maymon for its two most recent games, but that did not happen. Interestingly, the Vols toppled Michigan State but then got upset by Oakland.

Drew Stafford notched his third career hat trick on Wednesday, scoring three goals in Buffalo's 3-2 win over Boston on Wednesday night. Stafford is becoming quite a master of the comeback. He missed 11 games with a shoulder injury and returned on Dec. 3 to contribute a goal and an assist in a win over Columbus. He missed four games with the same injury prior to Wednesday's explosion. Tim Connolly (groin) and Rob Niedermayer (knee) also came back following eight-game absences, so the Sabres are looking good heading into Friday's trip to Florida.

Josh McRoberts found himself on the bench for the second half of Indiana's Wednesday night loss to the Lakers. Due to a lack of rebounding, coach Jim O'Brien shelved McRoberts (one rebound in 14 minutes) and gave 11 minutes of playing time to Tyler Hansbrough. O'Brien also said afterward that he is going to stick with Roy Hibbert at center, who can expect to see more and more playing time coming up. The Pacers host Cleveland on Friday.
