Greetings,

Albinoleffe <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />GENOA – Impressive aspect about Genoa’s home performance is not only the compiled record (9W-3D-1L), but also the goal ratio differential. In 13 games, 24 goals scored and only 11 allowed. The luxury of playing on Friday allows the home team to take a serious charge at the standings without having to look back at the other contenders. With a win here, Genoa will vault to 52 points and a comfy 2nd place position. Home side can lay dormant for wide stretches of the game, but has offensive arsenal to score quickly, and in bunches (see last week’s Crotone match. Albinoleffe’s key weakness here is a sure-footed but slow midfield. Genoa’s pressing and counter-attacking <st1:date Month="4" Day="3" Year="2003">4-3-3</st1:date> will wear down opposition early in the second half. Nothing is guaranteed, but there is good potential host will score first, and force visitor in unaccustomed scenario of coming from behind. The Bombers of north have improved defensively, and offense is – once again – showing serious signs of life. Within the confines of my madness I see this one as: GENOA 3 Albinoleffe 1<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
The play:
Genoa -1 -104 (6 units)
Genoa over 2 and 2.5 -107 (6 units)

Spezia at VICENZA – As much as I am attracted by Spezia’s road woes (1W-6D-7L) and current form, I am equally lured by Vicenza’s defensive form. With the exception of a minor hiccup last week against a surging Hellas Verona, home side is playing phenomenal defense. Home record is not the greatest, but visitor has awful road goal differentials with only 11 goals scored and 21 allowed in 14 games. Barring any red card contingencies against the host, I see clinical defensive effort. Spezia has no fire power whatsoever, and will have complete difficulty penetrating Vicenza’s <st1:date Month="4" Day="4" Year="2002">4-4-2</st1:date>. Ball is round, and anything can happen, but I do see this one as: VICENZA 2 Spezia 0
The play:
VICENZA -0.5 -115 (4.5 units)
VICENZA over 2 -124 ( 4 units)

Take care, good luck, and let’s start taking a good look at Bologna tomorrow, and Palermo on Sunday.
