Greetings Gents,

Cesena at PIACENZA - Last week Piacenza did what they had to do: maintain focus and beat a bad team on the road (Pescara 2-0). Coming home, they will try to improve on stellar home performance: 6W-1D-1L. Cesena is not necessarily a bad road team, evidence of their record of 2W-3D-2L. Nonetheless, the 13 goals allowed on road turf are clear indication of inconsistent defensive play. Another opportunity for Piacenza to take a shot at first place! With 1 point separating the 6 teams atop Serie B, focus should not be a factor. They are not exactly a goal scoring machine, yet 11 of 17 goals have been scored at home. Cesena should provide a refresing change.
The plays:
Piacenza -0.5 +108 (4 units)
Piacenza over 2 and 2.5 -104 (5 units)

Mantova at VERONA - Twilight zone type match-up: Verona at home, 0W-3D-5L with two goals scored. Mantova's road record is just as brutal with 0W-7D-1L. With 27 points, hopes of climbing through the standings lies on the ability to win a game - or two - on the road. Rare opportunity for Montova to steal the win. With one of the most disciplined defenses in Serie B, they should have enough against a home squad that has scored a mere 2 goals in eight home games... The unavoidable play:
Mantova pk and -0.5 +116 (6 units)

Pescara at ALBINOLEFFE - Let's see if this one makes sense to anyone. Albinoleffe at home: 2W-6D-0L. Pescara on the road: 0W-3D-5L (19 goals allowed). Fresh from a road victory at Vicenza, Albinoleffe has not lost since the 9th of September.
The play: ALBINOLEFFE -1 +109 (3.5 units)

Bologna at BRESCIA - Unable to beat Juventus, Bologna might just deflate enough to allow sneaky Brescia to pull off the win. With 1 loss in eight home games, I will take a chance their way.
The play: Brescia PK -124 (3 units)

Vicenza at LECCE - In eight road games this year, Vicenza has yet to produce a victory. Lecce can certainly score at home.
The plays:
LECCE -0.5 -107 (4 units)
LECCE over 2.5 -123 3 units)

MA says: For those considering one or two plays on the B card, consider Mantova at PK and -0.5, and perhaps the Cesena "Over".

Cheers and good luck,

MA
