Let me make a couple of points before everyone starts piling on here, like they love to do.......

First of all I DID NOT TELL PRJ TO QUIT POSTING, THAT WAS HIS DECISION

Secondly, no mod called him a square basher....He asked me why the mods dont like him, i told him most people dont like being called pussies, or any of the other names......Nor did i care for it a few months ago, when he blamed Shrink for his losing money, because HE READ apost by shrink the wrong way....

3rdly, PRJ was told when we talked today, that since he had admitted he was wrong lashing out in the sports forums, and calling us all names, that the "post review" would be lifted LATER TODAY, after he cooled down...this was not a permanent thing...........

So, PRJ is the one deciding to leave the Rx...as he stated to me in our conversation, HE IS ONE OF THE REASONS THAT PEOPLE VISIT THE RX, TO SEE HIS POSTS, THEY HAVE TOLD HIM THIS, so i guess they will have to find him elsewhere now.....

Best of Luck to you PRJ...

However, lets not confuse the issue, YOU chose to leave, you were not forced, you were not told to leave, and you were not asked to leave..

PRJ has brought nothing but negativity to these forums. These boards are a better place with him gone.

My only hope is that he not resurface or come back with a different nic.

Perhaps he can take 2sweet2323 and TRUE VALUE with him.

I liked Pete for what it's worth. This place would be boring without conflict.

If you want conflict, go to a smack board. That's not what this place is about.

Yes, please take him back. Now he is causing problems over at MW, attacking the mods there as well. It will only be a matter of time before he will have to come back, just to have a place to post. God knows everyone hates him there. Go to the baseball forum there and see for yourself about good ole Pete.

since we are in the RR can I say "It is that GIANT thing in my pants..."

real answer depends on who you ask - some say a percent of bankroll, some just pick an amount they are comfortable with. I guess it depends if you want to be a 20 unit bettor or 5 unit bettor

well flat betting is the best way to give yourself a chance to win consistently

if your average bet is 100 bucks a game, then a unit is 100 bucks.

5 and 20 units like mentioned above is unrealistic, and im sure that is just for joking around or maybe it refers to stepping up the avg. size of your bet.

example

I like this game 110/100 1 unit
I like this game also 110/100 1 unit
I like that game 110/100 1 unit
I am in LOVE with this game 220/200 2 units

experts say play between 1/2 to 3 units sometimes 4 or 5 I have been known to drop 6-7 when I am up big and its a game I really like, I'm sure some others do but they won't admit even though they are very famous and rich posters hint hint

yea I was kidding - like you say you may go up to 6-7 units on a game but I see people say 20 units or more - they can't be doing that as % of bankroll or they wouldn't last long.

Punch Line!!

Comon Roxy!!!! I know there is a punchline!! I want to see what pete or someone else put up as a response!!!! please? Pretty please? Oh, ok...hold on

NO one knows how much money someone may have as a bankroll. We could be talking 5,000 or 35,000. So, whether we are talking about percentage points of bankroll or a 'part' of the bankroll, we use the term 'units.' Most people have general rules of thumb for using so many units per game and never risking more than so many units during a single day or on a single game. A unit is a portion of your bankroll pie that is generally thought to be anywhere from 1.5% to 3% of your bankroll, but you must not take that lightly. IF someone has a ten unit play then 30% of your bankroll may be too much to play. So is 15%, frankly. So, people many times say things like that to help one rate how big their play is and you should manage your own 'units' as you see fit.

There, now can we have the punchline!!!! tulsa
