Special Teams
LSU
This is the place to be for kicks with the return of last year's starting punter, place-kicker and deep snapper. Junior Jamie Keehn, a transplanted Australian, averaged 41.0 yards on 43 punts. He had 10 punts of better than 50 yards, including a personal best 58 yarder. Eighteen of his kicks were downed inside the 20-yard line.

Florida
Redshirt sophomore Austin Hardin returns as the starter after making just 4 of 12 field goal attempts a year ago, with a long of 33 yards. He handled kickoff duties throughout the season and has the strongest leg on the roster. Walk-on Frankie Velez is the backup kicker after making 6 of 8 field goals a year ago. At punter, 2012 Ray Guy Award finalist Kyle Christy is back. Christy, a senior, lost his job to first year punter Johnny Townsend in 2013, but won it back during the spring. Sixth-year senior Andre Debose returns as the top kickoff return man in school history with four career returns for touchdowns. Vernon Hargreaves will serve as the starting punt returner.

Auburn
Kicker Cody Parkey, punter Steven Clark and punt returner Chris Davis helped Auburn have one of the top special teams units in the SEC a year ago, but they've all graduated. The loss of Clark may sting the most. His moonshot punts downed inside the 20 (26) helped the defense out a number of times. Redshirt freshman Jimmy Hutchinson, who averaged 40.2 yards per punt in the A-Day Game, takes over for Clark. Redshirt freshman Daniel Carlson is Parkey's successor. He hit a 27 and 50 yarder during the A-Day Game. D'haquille Williams could be a viable punt return candidate. Corey Grant, Quan Bray and Rudy Ford are kick-return candidates.

Alabama
Adam Griffith was supposed to replace Cade Foster, but an inconsistent spring has set up a fall competition. The sophomore missed two field goals and an extra point in the spring game and will now compete against true freshman JK Scott, a Denver native ranked as one of the nation's best high school kickers. Scott is likely to take over the punters job as well vacated by three year starter Cody Mandell, one of the best in the country last year. There's much more certainty at returner, where sure-handed Christion Jones has been outstanding the past two years. Plenty of others are capable of returning punts and kicks, too.

South Carolina
Place-kicker Elliott Fry won the job last August as a walk-on, becoming the first South Carolina freshman to start an opener since 1996. Fry returns to the role after he made 15 of 18 field goal attempts, with a long of 45 yards. He hit 54 of 55 PATs. He's also battling Landon Ard for the kickoff job. Senior Tyler Hull will handle punting duties for the third straight year, but his average fell from 39.4 yards in 2012 to 37.8 in 2013. Pharoh Cooper averaged 22.4 yards per return last year, with a long of 55 yards, and has returned nine punts. The sophomore will handle both duties full time this season.
