Of course, there are great fights on almost a weekly basis. Lost in the Marg/Cotto classic is the fact the undercard turned out to be much better than expected, including the Canchila/Segura fight, which was nothing but action.
The reason for pointing out the bigger matches is that's what appeals to the casual fan. For freaks like you and I, we're already hooked.
all of you guys have serious bias which is natural. there really is no need for me to further argue my point, we will only go around in circles.
anyone familiar with mma could put a list together of fighters who are unbelievable boxers who if it was the only discipline they studied they could compete at the high levels.
also the money argument is one of ignorance but if you don't understand why there is no real reason for me to get into all of it. both sports are structured totally different and only a handful of fighters make the unreal money and it is that handful that are ruining the sport.
just look around you... mma has surpassed boxing, period. feel free to continue to fuel this thread with ignorance... i am out.

Boxing is still a more popular sport. Go on the street and ask your moderate sports fan to name 5 MMA fighters and he's going to struggle. 5 boxers? Much easier task. But I agree that the gap is closing
