The Tigers dropped their final two games of the regular season and there were some questions about how they were going to come into this tournament. Having five days off to rest was a big positive and the Tigers easily took care of Kentucky in a game that wasn’t close at any point. Mississippi St. has looked good in both SEC Tournament games but it got a good draw as it faced Georgia, the second worst team in the conference and then faced an overrated South Carolina team. LSU won both regular season meetings but I do not think winning a third will be a problem. LSU is a bad matchup for Mississippi State. It has a post presence to counter Jarvis Varnado and has big, strong, athletic guards that serve to counter-attack a Bulldogs team that has relied very much on the three-pointer this season. LSU center Chris Johnson looked better after suffering through some flu-like symptoms late during the regular season. He will also be playing for some payback. Stopping Varnado is the focus of LSU and Johnson. He scored 31 points with eight rebounds and six blocked shots in the double overtime loss to LSU and held Johnson to zero points in 16 minutes on 0-5 shooting. The Bulldogs come into this game pretty hot and with some good momentum as they have won four straight but I think that is overrated here. They had won five straight games prior to the first meeting this year with the Tigers and lost that game by 24 points. While this one may not be as lopsided, LSU wins comfortably and sweeps the season series. 7* LSU Tigers</TD></TR><TR><TD style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; BACKGROUND: #fff; PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px; MARGIN: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-TOP: 5px; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 0px solid" colSpan=2> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>-= TOP PLAY =- <TABLE class=picks_table id=picks_table style="FONT: 12px arial, verdana, tahoma, helvetica, sans-serif" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=5 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=event style="PADDING-RIGHT: 4px; BORDER-TOP: #666 2px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 4px; FONT-SIZE: 12px; BACKGROUND: #f2f2f2; PADDING-BOTTOM: 4px; MARGIN: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 4px; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse; border-spacing: 1px" noWrap align=left width="50%">NCAA-B | Mar 14 '09 (6:00p)

USC is winning again as it is healthy and that really makes all the difference when it comes to a team that relies on defense and basically, a full team effort. The win over UCLA was extremely impressive as it held the Bruins, who came in leading the nation in shooing at 50.3 percent, to a mere 27.1 percent shooting from the floor. This was no fluke as defense is the name of the game for the Trojans. In their win against Arizona St. in the first meeting this season, the Trojans allowed the Sun Devils to shoot just 34.1 percent and that is obviously the key to success. Arizona St. shot 50 percent last night against a good Washington defense but I do not see the same success two nights in a row against another extremely tough defense. The Sun Devils improved to 15-0 this season when they shoot 50 percent or better from the floor but they are just 9-8 when they fail to hit 50 percent. They shot exactly 50 percent against USC in the second meeting as they won going away so this makes the rubber match for the Pac Ten title. While the strength is the defense, the Trojans offense is playing much better. They have put up offensive efficiency ratings of 100 or higher in nine of their last 10 games and 12 of their last 15. This after doing so in just nine of their first 14 games this season. USC now has 20 wins, a win over UCLA and enough juice to warrant an at-large tournament bid. It is far from a guarantee however and that means a win here is the only sure way the Trojans are in. This game is at the Staples Center and that is certainly a big advantage for USC who will have the majority of the crowd on its side. 10* USC Trojans</TD></TR><TR><TD style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-RIGHT: 5px; BORDER-TOP: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; BACKGROUND: #fff; PADDING-BOTTOM: 5px; MARGIN: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 0px solid; PADDING-TOP: 5px; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ccc 0px solid" colSpan=2> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><TABLE class=picks_table id=picks_table style="FONT: 12px arial, verdana, tahoma, helvetica, sans-serif" cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=5 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=event style="PADDING-RIGHT: 4px; BORDER-TOP: #666 2px solid; PADDING-LEFT: 4px; FONT-SIZE: 12px; BACKGROUND: #f2f2f2; PADDING-BOTTOM: 4px; MARGIN: 0px; BORDER-LEFT: #ccc 1px solid; PADDING-TOP: 4px; BORDER-COLLAPSE: collapse; border-spacing: 1px" noWrap align=left width="50%">NCAA-B | Mar 14 '09 (6:00p)

That means that the Bears are in position to make it to the NCAA Tournament the hard way as opposed to the easy way which was supposed to be the case this season. They will be playing their fourth game in four nights but to be honest, this angle of teams being tired is a little trite. We have seen teams win titles by winning four straight games on consecutive nights and we saw Syracuse win last night after playing a six-overtime game. These kids are some of the best conditioned athletes around so exhaustion rarely comes into play as adrenaline takes over. I was on Syracuse last night due to the line being overadjusted because of the “fatigue” and that is part of the reason for tonight as well. Baylor comes in as the underdog once again and this is a role it is cherishing. The Bears are peaking at the right time and what better way to end a monumentally disappointing season than with a Big XII Tournament Championship and a trip to the Big Dance. Which team is playing better over the last five games? Both are 3-2 but Baylor is in the positive in shooting percentage margin while Missouri is in the negative. Baylor is in the positive in three-point shooting percentage margin while Missouri is in the negative. Baylor is shooting +7.6 percent better from the free throw line than Missouri. Baylor is +3.4 rpg in rebounding margin while Missouri is -8.0 rpg in margin. The Bears will employ a similar recipe to what Oklahoma St. did last night and that is pack in a zone defense and make the Tigers beat them from the outside. Last night, the Tigers fired up 16 three-pointers in the first half, and most of them were bad shots and they made only two of them. The problem for the Cowboys was that they missed their first 16 three-point shots on offense and they kept it close. Baylor will not have that problem. This team is too experienced and too confident right now to go down without a fight. The Bears can easily win this one and steal a tournament bid that they thought would not be able to attain. 5* Baylor Bears</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Check out what Lang is saying today guys............ what a loser

My 30-Dime Underdog Shocker leads the way.

It was all find and dandy cashing in my 2nd straight 25 dime winner with Tulsa pushing that run to 5-1 my last 6 setting the table for a huge 30 dimer today and keeping the winning streak going.

Just as I said yesterday, you wait for money making opportunities to present themselves and when they do, you have got to just pounce on them like nothing you have ever seen.

That is exactly what I did Friday night cashing in 4 out of 7 netting +22.5 dimes of net profit and today is another chance to hammer home a 3rd straight winning day.

It's not how you start but how you finish and getting hot at the right time is a huge key to making big time money.

Bottom line is I have won money 8 of the last 10 years in the conference tournaments and with a big day today I can pretty much lock up the 9th time in the last 11.

Just feel great about the matchups today. Feel great about all 5 of these winners today and there is no better time for you to get on board than today.

I told you this past week it was going to be a great week and it has been exactly that and I am in a very good place right now. Simple as that.

So get ready for top play winner #3 in a row, winning day #3 in a row and another
big winning confernce day.
