AL DEMARCO
COLLEGE ROAD WARRIOR
GAME OF THE YEAR
Goes on the Saturday night card
5 Dime Release
Just as strong as last Saturday's
winner on Georgia Tech over UNC
There were a number of games that caught my attention on today's card, among them Marshall-East Carolina, North Carolina-Virginia, N.C. State-Wake Forest, Florida State-Boston College, Iowa-Kansas State and Navy-Air Force.
You'll notice none of them could possibly be called, under any circumstance, "marquee" games. No Michigan-Michigan State. No USC-Cal. No Oklahoma-Miami of Florida among the bunch.
I've always said in college football and basketball I like to concentrate the most where the oddsmakers concentrate the least. It's the small conferences or the lesser-known matchups where you will find your greatest value, not the marquee games.
Such is the case tonight with my Road Warrior Game of the Year release. I've found a team that I feel will roll by 3 TDs on the road tonight. Now this team won't be contending for a national title in January; heck, this club might not even win its conference crown. But that's of no concern as the only thing that counts is whether they cover tonight, and I expect they do with ease in a road rout.
This play is just as strong as last Saturday's College Revenge Game of the Year winner on Georgia Tech, a 3-point home favorite that blasted North Carolina 24-7.
FYI - This game goes on the Saturday night card and will remain available until 5 minutes prior to kickoff.
