He's in the right state to file it. I like that the filing said kicked him to the curb 3 times in the first 10 lines. But disability? Ha! He had hand to bottle to mouth syndrome. How bout not doing stupid shit in public. The dude had cause to be fired. Now if it had been a private issue he might have had more legs to stand on. But like I said, this is Caleeefornia. It's one of just a few states where this lawsuit has merit. So I wouldn't be surprised if he at least partially wins. Hell, in that state they let murderers walk. It wouldn't surprise me if they reinstated his job!

They do say that "liquor flows in California more fluently than any other state"......I wonder if it's the people (i.e. women) there that drives people to drink ?

That dumb SOB doesn't have a leg to stand on. They offered him help after the August fiasco and he didn't take it. Conan would be better dialed in on this, but I don't see him getting a penny.

It's not something I would bet against. Especially if he finds a good lawyer...

he has one. that's who filed on his behalf. the courts do not poo poo wrongful termination especially on the grounds of disability including alcoholism and drug addiction, both previously were not taken very seriously. like in any suit of this kind, mediation will take place and if usc knows what theyre doing, or their lawyers do, they will pay it off and put a gag on the amount ..

lets not forget that if he was drunk as a skunk or in the bottle day in and day out as stated above, then haden and the admins all must have known, or they are just plain f'n stupid?? come on. being on both sides of this there's no way people don't know youre a drunk, and I would bet that haden knew, and turned his head the other way, and sarks lawyers will have enough artillery to get out of there with a settlement..

Memphy, I agree with a lot in both posts above. SC knew about it all and instead of insisting, turned the shoulder. Good for Jackasian. I believe, again, look to Conan for input as he is the most dialed in West Coast guy we got, but SC buys him out. Won't be the 12'v he's looking for, but I can see 3 Very Large. I'm NOT a lawyer, so I'm just speculating.

Not in today's world. He has to go to treatment first and then seriously if he should fail then they will give him up to 3 more sessions. This in itself is no reason to fire him unless they
can prove without a shadow of a doubt that he was incapable of performing his job. Otherwise, they can fire him for embarrassment of the school which has not happened and possibly pay him if it is written in his contract.

And honestly, how can he go back? The players and coaches won't have any respect for him. They've lost the professional relationship. He's done. He'll surface somewhere as a coordinator or assistant (probably the NFL for a few years) then could possibly resurface as a head coach some day (doubtful though).
I hear ya dude, but today is a different world. 1. Did they take a BAT? 2. Were there expert witnesses verifying that he was drunk? 3. Could it have been medication? Could it have been a
medical problem - diabetes will impair your behavior.
so many factors that should be considered before making a blanket statement.
How many people have you heard in your town get picked up for DWI and only get a slap on the hand? It's today's world whether we like it or not.
This isn't my feelings. It is today's world that we are facing where everyone is politically correct and with most folks afraid to pull up their big boy panties.

He'll get away with it and make a ton from USC as they will mark my words settle out of court.
