Hernol is a maturing young adult who has been given great ability to play basketball..the crime here is only a small group of people in the hoops community here appreciate his talent..

After a conversation he decided, not because of dollars, to step to the plate and play for his country..One year ago he played against TCU in the national gym, stepped up, and almost brought in a victory against a division one team..

There are 11 other players on this team who had alot to do with his decision..The CR bracket is Panama, Puerto Rico, and Cuba..With Hernol, this teams chances greatly improve..

with him on the roster, CR increase its chances... he's been known to go after the money, I don't blame him if i was him i would do the same, imagine he gets injured really serious?? bye bye mexico contract, kid has got to take care of himself and getting some $$ is part of it

On the other hand thats a very hard bracket for CR team, i mean Panama is known to be the central america's basketball powerhouse, Cuba is always a good team competing at a higher level and we all know Puerto Rico is the Caribbean powerhouse i'm guessing they are bringing the guys ballin in the states like barea from mavs and carlos arroyo from magic, I would say the team could beat Panama but Cuba and Puerto Rico is a longshot

That's certainly an encouraging bit of news, quepos...and not so much for the national team's chances, but rather that Hernol is taking advice. It's my understanding he got some rotten advice back when he was in juco ball in the us.

That is a tough group for CR. Cuba is very athletic, PR and Panama are usually the class of the region. On top of that CR played pretty well last year and won't have the element of surprise. Hopefully they still have some bullets left.
BTW, I was a little surprised by the Limon-Santa Ana game. Limon is the toughest road venue but given some of the early results I didn't think Limon would win by that big a margin.

Without arias they can be had even in their cage. UCR has a solid starting five, but they have no depth, particularly in the post.
