As much as it pains me to lay double-digits on the road, the Trail Blazers have been so bad that I have no other choice than to bet the Kings and hope the lethargy in the City of Roses continues. Consider that the Blazers have lost 10 of their last 11 games and have covered in only three of those games. In other words, the Blazers have mailed it in and are making vacation plans.
The Kings have won and covered in three of their last four games including their most recent, a 120-80 thrashing of Portland on Wednesday night and in the same arena where they will be playing this game as well. I understand the counterargument can be made that the Trail Blazers will want to take away at least some of the sting from that humiliating beatdown in front of their own fans but that would be to assume this team has even a shred of pride remaining. I don’t believe they do and will face a similar fate on Friday night.
