Great out-of-the-box game, IMO. In other words, one's intuition of how the first game after the trade and vs. each other rates to play out. Of course it's guesswork, but I enjoy trying to gauge energy and attitude.

For myself, I think the Kings - without Peja - are a strong play at +3. C Webb is a bit overhyped, esp. before integrating with the PHI offense, and we know his 'D' is suspect. He may shoot too much or pass too much. His passing is great, but these guys haven't played with him. The ex-PHI players are physical and fundamental and have something to prove here. Bibby gives AI something to think about all game.

Kings on a small slide, but mostly v. power opps or in tough travel spots. Nearly took Dallas while short-handed...Kings by 3-7 tonight.

I see the opposite and fired up Philly. They kept Mckie around to be the teams drug dealer.

You can be fired up but not in a natural rhythm. It's not the same at all, but I remember the Bulls' home openers during Jordan's run and they were stoked, the fans were ballistic, and they often lost or were life-and-death to win those.


Anyhow, as I said, I welcome all thoughts on this game

Hey, I can sweat out my side solo, but I'm surprised it seems no one here thinks the Kings are the right side tonight. Of course many have no opinion...
