Repairs to a key oil pipeline in northern Iraq could take up to a month following a suspected sabotage attack just three days after it reopened.
A fire engulfed a section of the pipeline at Baiji, north of Tikrit - hometown of ousted President Saddam Hussein - on Friday and burned for 24 hours.

The US governor of Iraq, Paul Bremer, says the closure of the pipeline will lose the country $7m a day in badly needed revenue for post-war reconstruction.

Meanwhile, a major water pipe in Baghdad has been holed amid reports of sabotage - cutting off supplies to areas in the north and flooding surrounding streets.

Washington blames supporters of Saddam Hussein and foreign militant groups for sabotaging the country's infrastructure and attacking US forces.

Wheres all of the help (according to Bush) that we would get from other countries? Didn't he say that after we won the war, even countries that didn't support the war would be ready to assist in reconstruction? I wonder if being a liar came naturally or was it something he had to work on?

Bunyon,

I wouldn't try to despute that bush2's a liar but I think in this particular case it has more to do with his stupidity and arrogance.

I think it's pretty clear that these Islamic extremists don't care about anybody. They are only hurting their own Islamic people by doing things like this.

Absolutely incredible. Other countries refuse to help Iraqi citizens, couldnt care less about their well being, and its all Bush's fault. He can do no right. What a freakin joke these people are.

Well, he shouldn't have told the American people the help would be there. Thats what he said when he made his case for going to war.

An explosion has ripped through the United Nations headquarters in Baghdad.
The US military says the blast caused "scores of casualties".

The United Nations says its special representative, Sergio Vieira de Mello, was injured in the explosion.

The BBC's Valerie Jones in Baghdad says the blast tore away part of the building and was heard over a wide area of the Iraqi capital.

A US military spokeswoman said the blast was caused by a car bomb.

A search for survivors is going on, our correspondent says.

A plume of black smoke was seen pouring out of the building.

Hundreds of people work in the building, a converted hotel.

It would have been especially busy at the time of the blast because a press conference was due to take place, our correspondent says.

She says the blast was even larger than one at the Jordanian embassy in Baghdad, which killed 11 people on 7 August.

I guess he must have mistakenly thought that the rest of the world might give a damn about someone other than themselves.

Nope, never said anything resembling that.

Could have that been weapons of mass destruction that the Islamic scums used to rip apart the building and kill all those people?

Sure seems as though it would be classified as that to me.
