The only defensive starter for SC who is injured is DT Pepper. He's listed as questionable. And I think it's probably big for him to play. If he can't then they definitely need SC's other DT Ajiboye, who was listed as starting DT at the start of the season, but was suspended for the first 3 games of the season. His status is still unclear for this game whether he will play. I would think if Pepper can't go then Spurrier will have to bring in Ajiboye. If they both play then it makes SC's defense extra tough for Ole Miss and their semi-rebuilt O-LIne to run on. One thing that hasn't been mentioned here is SC's defense is faster than greased lightning. And they can be very tough to beat at home. Plus we have a team getting points at home, who has played 2 BCS teams on the road as opposed to Ole Miss two non-BCS, FCS opponents. Big difference in the level of competetion that each of these teams have played against so far.
Ajiboye is off suspension and in the starting lineup. Pepper is still questionable.
For the poster quoting the 41 points put up by the Bulldogs in reference to a bad South Carolina defense, The 41 points given up to UGA is not as bas for the defense as it looks either.
7 points on 100yd kickoff return
7 points on drive starting at South Carolina 48 due to a kick off return (52yds)
7 points on a 61 yd reverse
3 points directly from a Garcia interception
7 points before half with a drive starting on South Carolina 40 because of a kickoff return.
That is all 31 of UGA first half points. South Carolina played that game without their 2 top DTs because Ajiboye was suspended and Pepper was hurt on the 2nd defensive play.
SOuth Carolina kickoff coverage has been horrible this year though
