As some of you might recall, I challenged Russ to a Bowl game picking contest (in the Marshall-NIU in-game thread on 12/23). $5K at risk for each of us, winner takes all. I said that we could send the money to an RX moderator, and I contacted one of them to see if they would hold the money for us.
While I was trying to get a mod involved, I got the following PM from Russ:
"So my 5k just went via ****** waiting.
Mod will be in touch just gave him 5k details good luck"
I was hopeful that Russ had come through, so I asked him which mod so that I could verify his story. Of course, Russ wouldn't tell me which mod or post a screen shot of the ****** transaction. So I contacted the moderator I'd been dealing with to try and get this bet set up and that mod hadn't heard anything from Russ but said he'd ask all the other mods about it.
I received confirmation this morning that Russ didn't speak to or send any money to any RX mod. Having said that, Russ continues to PM me saying that I'm the pussy that has backed out of this wager. So, for any of you that had any doubt, we now have proof that Russ is a lying pussy at best, and probably an air bettor, too --- not that anyone is surprised by any of this. To paraphrase our good friend Denny Green, "he is what we thought he is".
