McNabb IS overrated and the media has given him a free pass for his horrible play. Rush, in his opinion says the reason is because he is black. I agree with Rush. Jake Plummer has been crucified in the press, he has been called "Jake the Fake". Denver is 4-0, and in his last game Plummer completed 16 consecutive passes.

Initially I was shocked that all the dem candidates for president came out screaming for him to be fired but if you look a little closer it just highlights the fact that they have nothing better to rant about.
Can you imagine being a leader in the hunt for president and having to scream about someones comments that might be considered slightly controversial on a stupid NFL pregame show? What could they possibly be mad about? Do they think people watching the show are gonna go around thinking that black people shouldnt be quarterbacks now? and even if thats the case - is that really worth your time while preparing to be the president of the free world?

he shouldnt have backed down - he of all people should know that there is nothing wrong pointing out something that has some truth to it - even the slightest bit of truth - which i'm sure he would have been able to articulate just fine.
He quit his TV show too - and just like all of them (nixon,gingrich,lott) he took the honorable way out before it got ugly.

hell you know he wanted to say it about Vick and now I'm sure he wished he had. McNabb is good, but I'd say he gets more head from the media than other equally skilled Q.B.'s. About a decade ago the movie White Men Can't Jump hit the big screen and nobody put up a fuss. However, if a movie titled, Black Men Can't Read* were to surface, disgust would follow subsequently.
These are all very sensative areas and Rush should have been aware of the consequences. He disregarded all emotions and got what he deserved.

I notice that the majority of people here are stupid enough to support Limbaugh. I'm glad the folks at ESPN forced him to resign. Demeaning the accomplishments of an athlete because of his skin color is totally sick. Limbaugh is a mentally disturbed drug addicted racist.
