Roman Turek is out for Calgary...

Sportsnet West has Round 1 of the rivalry Tuesday at 8 pm MT when the Flames take on the Oilers without Roman Turek in goal.

Sportsnet.ca - Get the sewing kit Harvey, the Oilers are coming to town.

The latest installment of the "Battle of Alberta" is ready to go as the Edmonton Oilers travel to Calgary to take on the Flames Tuesday night.

The Flames will be without their number one goaltender, Roman Turek. Turek told reporters after Tuesday's morning skate that he will not dress against the Oilers tonight.

Turek was back on skates today for the first time since being injured Saturday night in a collision with Alyn McCauley, but was being held back for tonight's game due to precautionary reasons. It appears probable that Turek will be ready to go in the Flames next game, at home versus Buffalo on Saturday.

Turek participated only in off-ice training Monday after experiencing headaches Sunday morning following the collision that saw him take a knee to the head from McCauley. The injury was not classified by the Flames as a concussion, stating that Turek merely had his "bell rung" (head injury).

Jamie McLennan will start in goal tonight for the Flames with Brent Krahn assuming the role as backup.

The Oilers enter the contest at 1-1, after losing 3-0 to Vancouver on Saturday night. Calgary is also 1-1.
