I spoke with Kevin King from Royal Sports today...

I believe it would be fair to say that Kevin is absolutely LIVID that PEEP would take it upon himself to "twist" the truth around to serve his selfish agenda...

We told ROYAL SPORTS to pay off all the gamblers before they paid us, and PEEP'S inuendos are hurting ROYAL, not helping them...

This thread had been dealt with 10 days ago and ROYAL had been given a chance by this site to do the right thing and pay out what they owed to their customers...

Afterwards, we were going to consider bringing ROYAL SPORTS back on when some time had passed and there were no complaints...

There was absolutely NO REASON for PEEP to bring this topic back up, especially since ROYAL is one of his advertisors...

So it's OK to kick around issues about former advertisers in this area but not current ones ?

That type of "Double Standard" should be considered unacceptable.

It's your track buddy but this horse is getting some bad "feed."

Worth considering to be competative.

quote:
For me personally, and I think I speak for quite a few people here, here are my reasons currently why I dont participate......

1. I do not feel confortable with giving out certain kinds of information about my accounts to a third party.

Good point. One reason I like SGA, your protection is linked just to your account number. So essentially anonymous. In case of the other programs you do give some link. I am not too big on that either, but is a tradeoff. In the case of Peep, I would do it in a second becasue I trust him.

quote:
2. Many times the protection only covers a very small percentage of what I have actually posted up at a book.

Agree, one reason Peep's plan is so good. No limit in coverage. Also SGA offers 3.5k coverage which is very healthy even for a player such as yourself

.

quote:
3. Feel very content and confortable with the books that I play at...........and knock on wood, have only been stiffed once in the many years I have played offshore, which includes having money posted up at no LESS than 120 sportsbooks. (Aces Gold being my only stiff job).

Your a lucky SOB. And in addition you likely don't need as much protection as the average player b/c you are more informed. Shit you are paid to hand out at a gambling forum so you better have more information than the average player. For those who don't live in the forums AND more importantly have connections, they are more likely to get screwed, especially if they don't hit books quick and get out.

quote:
THE CHOICE COMES DOWN TO EACH INDIVIDUAL, AND CONSEQUENTLY ALL RESPONSIBILITY COMES UPON ONES VERY OWN SHOULDERS.

Is a good approach to take. Also a good approach is if you are a forum owner (which you are not), you should not promote books that are unlikely to survive. And if you choose to do so it might make sense in terms of loyalty and maybe even business ethics to provide some sort of protection against loss for players. Just b/c a player is responsible in the end, doesn't mean he has to turn down help.

Thanks barkingdogs...

That boy has a lot to learn. If we had ONLY ONE advertisor, we would certainly not try and piss them off and then gloat about it...

I hooked up with royal because they advertised here. They stalled paying me but I got my money finally thanks to General Pete & River intervening for me. My last 600 in there I bet on Indiana at 10 to 1 to win NBA Championship. Scalped nicely as Pinnacle had Indiana not to win at -800. Celebrated when Detroit beat Indiana as my balance with Royal became 0.

I felt obligated to post in defense of Royal as they are getting a bad rap of late. I only judge a book by how I am treated there, aside from using obvious due diligence at books that are showing signs of trouble. I set up an account at Royal to play the Nascar Contest that they are running here at the RX. It seemed like a great contest and still does(aside from my idiotic selections, LOL). I lost my post up money for the contest and deposited more. Since then I had a nice little stretch there and then saw all of the signs of trouble. I figured I was SOL. But I must say that my fed ex check for 2500 arrived this morning in the exact 5 to 7 day business day time frame they claimed it would(this was requested AFTER they were taken down from this sight). Granted I have not yet cashed it but the check did arrive so maybe some of this stuff is blown out of proportion. Hopefully everyone else is being paid as well by Royal and at all books. Just thought I should mention this. Not saying to post up with them or not to but wanted people to know as many facts as possible.

Royal gained a lot of goodwill when they bailed out Gamblers Avenue. That was huge, hopefully they will right their ship and steady its course. Good luck to all the people they owe.

Royal ads should be taken down as they are slow paying players, and The RX OFFERS NO protection to players in this situation beyond not leading them to Royal.

I personally think Royal should be pulled from every site as this whole thing is a joke. Slow paying like this shouldn't be supported by anyone.

These escrow and protection programs have got to the point were there are many different classes of sports bettors. And lets face it, if you are playing via the RX you are at the bottom of the list when it comes to forum players getting paid. I don't think the tiered system is that fair (example being that RX reader post up with PanAm, his money in put by PanAm in OGD escrow and OGD players get paid in weeks, while RX player waits half a year to get paid if ever). But I don't see anyway around it.

Cat is out of the bag and if the RX continues to offer ZERO to players beyond a forum to post complaints (lot of goood that has done in PanAm case) and pulling ads when a book is slow paying, then its players are falling behind.

Do you actually believe the guarantee by MW is worthwhile? I just don't see it in a total implosion.

Royalfan: You are a gambler ! They bailed me out of BLUE MARLIN, nice of them ! I wanted to remain loyal to them, but couldn't, after slow -pay ! I took a worser line with every bet I made there, on bail-out ! (10X roll-over )

"The book of Kings " is run by "A ship of Fools ". Somehow they got some cash to pay off some debts, that's the last time !

Their reputation is still ruined ! Bailing out guys like me wasn't smart !

The business isn't run well. They can't compete !

No reduced juice, no free half-point, bad rep= They are Toast !

Anybody that continues to play there is a complete IDIOT !

Hasn't the handwriting been on the wall long enough ?
