so Ronaldo says he's going to give it a couple of days of thought and then issue a statement as to his wishes for the future. all signs look like he's going to come out and say he has a strong desire to go to Real.

and i guess Man U will just say, sorry, we aren't selling you. and keep him somewhat disgruntled for a couple of seasons before selling him then?

but i'd love to see him come to the bernabeu :dancefool

I think they sell him, they will continue to say no, no, no to drive up the price and then they will say "ok, $160mm, he is yours." Then they go out and buy 4 absolute studs with the money and are in a better situation. Personally, I have no idea why he would want to leave ManU for Real unless he just wants more money. Probably the two most recognizable teams in the world, massive clubs, big histories, but ManU is in much better shape than Real.

Manchester sucks, but Madrid isn't all that great either.

i love Madrid and would think a portugese national would much rather live there than Manchester. plus, he's already accomplished everything there is to accomplish at United. he probably thinks he could take Real all the way in CL also.

Madrid is certainly better than Manchester, no question about that. I always discount the ego aspect of it, but you are probably spot on with that. Chicks are certainly better in Spain than England.

He should move to Arsenal.

I was recently in Madrid and wasn't all that impressed or thrilled with it. We had crappy weather, which I am sure impacted my opinion some. But it just didn't impress me all that much, kind of dirty, little scuzzy, people were generally pissy. Just didn't seem to have a great vibe to it like Barcelona or Valencia do and chicks are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better in both Barca and Valencia.

i won't argue with that, i really loved all of Spain when i was there and my little trip to Valencia was one of the highlights. crappy weather is never good, espescially when you're at a place for the first time. I'm already looking forward to a return visit. i could go on and on about Spain.....but i just think in most cases I'd rather live in Spain, (or even Italy) more than England. But then again those EPL teams shell out the most dough

now if Ronaldo is sold, who would you take for EPL future? because of course right now man u are heavy favs. something like +160. If he were to get sold i'd think about jumping on Arsenal and/or Liverpool (near +800), assuming i could beat the line changes

I had the same experience in madrid,I loved barcelona but madrid was sort of grey the whole time we were there.alot bigger and more like a lot of american cities than I care for.barcelona, the cafes and all the architecture and women are out of this world

I would go with arsenal,I sort of disagree with statement about spanish girls and english girls.alot of spain is still very traditional and the women from the small towns at least I met were kind of conservative.I probably didn't have enough time in spain though

London if you have money like ronaldo would be the greatest city in the world to live in.the food, the nightlife, the shopping, london cant be beat if you are rich I guess.

I couldnt afford to even visit london now with the state of the dollar .10 or 15 dollar pints and even the ploughmans lunch is 20 bucks in london now.forget a night on the town.sad time for the dollar and americans

I love Spain and 100000000000% would choose to live there, Italy or France long before England. Never been to Portugal but want to check that out as well.

I loved Valencia, was there for 3.5 days, probably a day too long for a visit though we never actually made it to the beach. Seems like it would be a sweet place to live, people always out, bars, restaurants, great scene and vibe to it and the weather is perfect. really mellow lifestyle in Spain from what I have seen.

If you haven't been to Barcelona, you have to go, that is an amazing city and has everything you could want in a major city. Thought it was so, so much better than Madrid.

Tough to say yet with the transfer window still open. I expect a lot of player movement between now and the end of summer. Until I know what happens with Drogba, Essien, Lampard, Adebayor, Nasri, Yaya, Hleb, David Villa, pretty much impossible to say. Unless Chelsea are decimated with departures, I think you have to take them, perhaps even over ManU. They will have a massive improvement in coaching next year and even with that they were only 2 points behind ManU.

I was just going off looks, I love dark hair/dark skin. Was with my wife both times I was in Spain, so who knows what the chicks are like once you talk with them. Looks though, Barcelona and Valencia were loaded with hot chicks.

Madrid isn't exactly cheap right now either. More $100 lunches in a week than I think I had to that point in my life.

I am a beach person so i think I would like south of France or Italy or spain as well over most of northern europe but the truth is it would be easier for me to find a job in europe now than it would be to visit with the dollar being so weak.

I totally agree about the dark haired spanish girls,I am of the same opinion.most guys like the blondes and there are some scandanavian girls who I wouldn't throw out of bed  but I do like those mediterranean type girls
